Lets face it there aint been a solid classic for a long time now, rap is stail as ? with most rappers getting too much respect for creating garbage (rick ross for example) so my question is whos gonna step up and restore order? whos gonna make an album on the level of a ready to die, Illmatic, 36 chambers, chronic 2001 ect, I dont have much hope of this ever happening because the record labels are killing creativity these days but if i had to nominate somebody it would be Jon connor, who you goin with?

Meek mill has the ability to. He has the flow, lyrics, subject matter, you can relate to him, and he has access to the best beats.
-
well the roots dropped a dope album last year
yasiin bey (mos def) could drop some hottness.
nas' new album could be dope.
as for the new school cats...iunno, i aint heard much hiphop from the new cats in a long long time -
Freddie Gibbs and Big Krit

Cole World. Its not even just a possibility, imo its highly likely that he WILL drop a classic on his next album
-
The art of classic albums is dead.
-
Connor, Krit, Kendrick, Cole..... I'd say Kendrick is the one most likely to do it

With the way the industry is no new artist is gonna drop a classic. There record label is gonna make sure they put their whack tracks on their cds. Look at J Cole, his album would have been classic if he anit make that ? awful song Workout as his single, that in the morning song with Drake to get buzz and that whack song with Jay called Mr. Nice watch. There will never be another classic album in this generations music industry.

The Roots
Outkast
B.O.B
Cole
Lupe -
Krit, Cole or Jay Electronica.
-
big krit...wale...wiz.....

I think "OD" is a classic record, but was not on a major
-
Kendrick
Big Krit
Lupe if he stops ? with techno beats
Kanye
Outkast
Andre solo
Jon Connor
J. Cole
Drake if he cuts back on the singing and writes lyrics that dont bother people -
Krit, Kendrick, BOB, J Cole, Blu
-
J. Cole
Krit once he goes major...
Maybe Kendrick...
Future is looking bleak for classic albums... -

As long as Nas is still rapping... there's always hope...
Jay, Em, and Lupe got it in them if they want... I just don't trust the Labels to let these new kids shine like the 90s... Nor do the new kids seem to want it... The conditioning for SINGLES and iTunes money is going to ruin the concept of the "Album" in the digital age... -
most likely: kendrick
honorable mentions:
krit
cole
who could but prolly won't:
nas
em
lupe
jay -
Yeezy

To me J.cole "The warm UP" is potential classic
Kendrick lamar "Section 80" potential classic
Big KRIT "Krit wuz here" potential classic
Im not gonna call em classic cuz they havent been out for more then 8 years at least, but those are potentials to me, even tho they mixtapes but i mthink of them as independent albums, (i know section 80 aint a mixtape) -
Spider loc already dropped 3 classic albums already and the collab album wit 40 glocc is a certified classic.
