album grew on me

Its a cool album. I like how they didn't skimp on production.

I give the album 7/10 baby jesuses. It may be influence by other people's review and the fact that I've heard some of the tracks before it was released. The reason that I gave it 7/10 is because even though the production was polished nicely, it wasn't 'musically moving' or there was nothing that made me go "that's a good/great song". Don't get me wrong though, there were beats & rhymes that I was feeling like the "? In Paris", "Why I Love You", and that beat with Curtis Mayfield. The rest of the tracks were mundane and there was no emotion to it, despite what other critics have said. Overall, it felt like a mixtape with two grown men talking about nothing except on that track "Murder to Excellence", where it talks about the plight of the black community.

I like em both individually, but this album sucks. My wife loves it and is always playing it in the car. ? save me!

I LOVE this album....it has great replay value.
There's only 1 song I don't really care for and it's the song that talks about Martin and Corretta or some ? . -
4 mics out of 5
-
Production good..kanye and jay-z both seemed real lax on the lyrics IMO
-
I like the way the beat switches up on some of the songs, production was great. But alot of the songs were lacking lyrically which has been a recent trend with Kanye West and his last couple of albums-great production, subpar lyrics, same problem I had with Cole World. Still underrated though, and in my top 5 of last year.

It's a 6/10 IMO. Kanye with a lot of sub-par lyrics on this album. Shows that he probably really was using a ghostwritter half the time in the past.
I don't care for about 4-5 songs on the album. -
Damn, glad i'm not the only one who picked up on the ghostwriting thing. You can tell who he has ghostwriting for him by who's in his crew around the time the album comes out.
College Dropout- Rhymefest, Consequence
Late Registration- GLC, Consequence
Graduation- ????
MBDTF- Pusha, Cyhi,
I'm sure there were more people that contributed but those were the main ones I noticed. He's still good with the production but lyrically he needs to go back to the Rhymefest, Consequence era.
