I like Saigon but i must say this, NOT EVERY BLACK PERSON IS BROKE, FROM THE GHETTO, STRUGGLES,ETC. What the ? does he want, a music game of socially conscious music, the Rick Ross's are needed just as much as the Talib Kweli's are needed.

It's about balance to me, even in Reggae music which is the most socially aware music in the world, there is a counter balance of fun music about ? , drugs, money, etc.

Fun doesn't have to equal '? , drugs, and money'. And the only person the drug game is fun to are those who have never experienced it or only experienced it in a very limited amount.

And lastly if you are going to make 'fun' raps about those things, at least tell both sides of the story.

If you're going to rap about all the fast money to be made in the drug game you should also rap about all the cats who have lost their lives in that same drug game and all those doing time over drug related offenses.

If you're going to rap about all the ? you stay in, you should also rap about how African Americans lead America in STD rates and teenage pregnancy.

If you're going to rap about all the money you have, you should also rap about underfunded urban schools, lack of black businesses (in our own communities, mind you) and how 38% of welfare recipients are black despite black people only being 13% of the population.

You know what i meant by fun, anything counterbalancing this opinion that rap is only suppose to be on some struggle and ? whitey ? . There is room for every opinion and pov imo, the same neigborhoods that bred MLK/Malcom X bred Frank Lucas and Nicky Barnes.

As far as making both sides, i agree there should be a 360 view of the drug game, not just the glorification of it. There should aslo be talk about how it tears apart families, paranoia, etc.

Then again, all Too Short talk about is ? , when has he ever talked about stds and he is still viewed as a legend. Also how many of these socially conscious rappers rap about what they live, ain't Mos Def ? and marrying strippers and have a ton a baby mommas while he preach that ''powerful black woman'' rhetoric. lmfao

Then again, why the ? should they rap about ? , maybe people need to take from Rick Ross story is ''ambition". Rick Ross is from one of the poorest neighborhoods in the country and didn't use his environment as an excuse.

Maybe people should look at the ambition of the ? who are successful, instead of being pandered to by the so call conscious ? who don't live in these poor neighborhoods.

I feel sai but people like music that they can try and emulate or relate too. A lot of people who fucc with Ross thinks there dope boys for the most part. He gives them hope to ball hard and push for more in that aspect( nothing wrong with that of that's your thing)
Its like niccas who idolized Jordan growing up. We watched him do ? on the court and we tried that ? at practice or in the game.
The problem I have is why is sai always having issues. Like find your space go hard and maybe u can have that same success.

The bold type is the only credible statement in your post. Everything else you typed is an attempt at deflection and justification.
