i totally understand where you coming from, but you gotta understand how that sounds to someone who's looking for red flags....
life is crazy, anything can happen to anyone.....and while you're absolutely correct in associating those things with characteristics you may determine to be undesirable... that ? sounds like if for any reason ? gets rough for a guy, the woman he married is not going to be there for understanding and support....
one of a married man's #1 insecurities is his ability to provide....hence the reason why most men would view your statement as a turn off..even if he was sitting on 6-7 figures in savings....

so there is no guess work as to her being with me only because of money

Most of the time I look broke unless I'm going out to a social gathering. Other than that I may have on some shorts or sweat pants tennis shoes and white T. I don't need labels on everyday.

@? ... same with my dad. You'd never know how well off he by the way he dresses. Shorts.. tshirts. and crocks are his daily attire. He buys almost everything on sale from wherever...He will even buy shorts at Costco if he thinks they are a deal lol
@Du ....We make about same amount annually ... with my bonuses I might make more... depending on how the year goes.
I'm guessing there is about a 7k to 10 k difference in our individual income

That was just an example of how not having yourself financially ready for such a commitment can effect the both of you in a particular situation .... I mean I'm all for holding each other down thru good and bad times ...but i just dont see why a dude would start a marriage off like that ... but thats just me -
