Every 5 years, trends in Hip Hop change. They are diffrent crews who run ? , diffrent cities that get the most praise and attention, new musical style/fashion/wordplay,and their is top 5 rappers who clearly dominate the culture.

In 5 years, where do you think Hip Hop will be, sound like, look like, and be dominated by?

    In 5 years.....

-YMCMB will be struggling to keep to the current HIp Hop Agenda, Lil Wayne will be 50 Cent status meaning its not cool no more to like him

    -Wale image will be tarnished
    - R.I.P Rick Ross
-XV will be a huge star
-Black Hippy will be broken up and K. Dot and Ab-Soul will be beefing. K.Dot will go mainstream (K.Dot is my favorite raapper, but i truly see this happening)
    -R.I.P DMX
-Somehow, 50 Cent is still winning
-Jay Electronica becomes MF Doom status
    - ASAP ROCKY/ RAIDER KLVN WILL BE THE NEW DOMINATING FORCE IN HIP HOP.

Thats some of my bold predictions.

    honestly in 5 years...

some of these older rappers won't get the attention anymore.
    lyricism will come back..
    diversity will grow and broaden..
YMCMB will probably fall off by the fifth year.
mainstream will still be the same poppy, sex, drugs, club type ? ..
still be a million people tryna be rappers.

    Detox wil be triple platinum.
Hip Hop will be selling at peaks of 70k.
    Nicki MInaj wil vanish.
YMCMB will already be a thing of the past.
It will be clear that Rick Ross was never that big when all there is his stat since he'd fall of by then.
Snoop Dogg will still be relevant long as he still smokes.
Lady Gaga will have 1 rap album out, 2nd album a duet with Kanye West.

Bonus: There will be no more R&B music, just Dance/pop record, as it is now.

Detox doesn't exist, he put singles out, if there was an album it would have followed, and no that kid isn't old enough, 03 was the absolute earliest it was ever thought to come out.

Eminem will drop another platinum album, then retire again and go into Movies full time.

Weezy will drop another platinum album then retire, to skate full time. He will compete in the X games. He will then come back to rap, drop an album that only goes gold.

Self Made Vol. 4 will drop and go platinum. A new artist that hasn't came up yet will be part of the album.

There will a new ''cool'' production.

Meek will be one of the most notable faces him hip-hop. He will put his BH boys on, and start a label as well as a clothing line, and chip brand.

Ross will drop new music less and less as he focuses on building is MMG empire and making HOV money.

Jay-z will have retired for good and will focus on pimping out his daughter. He will also have a baby son.

A new rapper will emerge and set the game on fire.

Wale will still be where he's at now.
Meek Mill, Big Sean and J. Cole will be the biggest rappers out (watch).
Kendrick Lamar will be Lupe Fiasco status.
Big K.R.I.T. will have alot of big looks as far as production placements.
Drake probably won't be makin music anymore and will be a bankable actor.
    Nicki will be washed up.
Wiz will also be washed up if he doesn't learn how to reinvent himself.
