I'm tired of defending Rappers and Hip Hop to closed minded ignorant people who think every album should sound like a Joey BadA$$ album (love that record btw). That's gotta be the oldest and most recycled cliche' in Hip Hop and it goes over people's heads every time.
Failed thread from the jump. It speaks on the lack of knowledge about the Sport that the OP has.
He isn't and you know this and no I don't think every album should be like Joey BadA$$ but, whats killing hip-hop now is the lack of variety. -

ayo ? ? u think these homos could rap
-
Ross isn't lyrical tho.. his delivery/voice just makes u think he said the illest ? ever and of course his production is A1
-
DMX is coming out with an album? damnn...
-
Gen. Stasia wrote: »Ross isn't lyrical tho.. his delivery/voice just makes u think he said the illest ? ever and of course his production is A1
His production is top notch. His production makes his sup bar rapping worth hearing. -
SawedOff-N-SkiMask wrote: »So who's actually listened to Ross' music outside of the radio? - I really want y'all to answer that question before anything.
Ross is more lyrical than Talib Kweli, he paints pictures and puts words smoothly like baby oil on a 23 year old phat ? ass. If Rick Ross isn't a "lyrical rapper" then nobody is and that's fact. U might not like what he promotes but that boy is nice!
Stop reading after that -
Lol @ Ross being a better LYRICIST then Talib.... Can I have some of what ur smoking?
-

Same with me. Pretty much all I listen to is early 90's hip-hop and horrorcore/ wicked ? with a few new artist here and there -
SawedOff-N-SkiMask wrote: »Answer the question: do u listen to Ross' music outside of the radio? Don't try to duck it
Yes i do sometimes
-
Yea. Self Made Vol. 2
Meek, dreams and nightmares.
-
Rick Ross has the best production to me. Not a fan of him lyrically at all, but he has gotten better in my opinion.
But he's nowhere near Talib Kweli as an MC. -
nah i wouldnt say that..Yet.
-
Ross' music >>> ? from boring ass Talib Kweli
after that pathetic "Eardrum" album, I was done listening to son for good -
SawedOff-N-SkiMask wrote: »Talib is one of the most overrated ? ever
But I feel like @genocide lcutter is making excuses and saying "yeah" just for the same of trying to make him sound more legit. If u don't listen to Ross' music then u don't listen to it. U don't have to agree with me just to make me happy
I really do from time to time. Ross can make good music I just can't listen to him all the time like most people on this site do. -
Ross music being more enjoyable makes more sense then sayin he's LYRICALLY better
-

WTF is wrong with you ol' negative ass ? , ya'll need to wake up and see that a new generation of Hip-Hop is doin' its thing, my ? the West Coast has even come back. how the ? can hip-hop be dead when the West is comin back? -
Ima just play "I'm on one" this summer too
