American Gangster.Man, tbh, TBA is one of my least fav Jay Z albums..never really thought it was all that..
round that time I was ? wit that G Unit BFM album way more *shrugs* -
The Black Album.@ Chase N Bundlez
I need your ranking, powerful poster -
-
The Black Album.Yo, Vol. 3 and Dynasty were Jay's toughest bars and introspective tracks.
No-sign on BP3 being that high
Solid list -
The Black Album.BP3 over Black Album ? whattttttttttttt ?
-
The Black Album. Please!!!!! the Black Album is, I almost forget about American Gangster. If it wasn't for Roc Boys and Blue Magic that ? woulda been blah.....Black had Public service Announcement, 99 Prob, Moment of Clarity, a gritty joint like Threat...Pshhhh come on now

Black album is better and darker, but American Gangster was a really good cd that showed Jay Z's versatility. I can listen to American Gangster in the car, during a smooth classy party. The black album is stuff to get ? , high, ride alone or with others. Black album is hunger and American Gangster is effortless.

I'm probably more likely to play American Gangster in rotation than the Black album but the Black album is better

The Black Album.TBA is a better album. I appreciate both of them n they are seminal works of art from jay but TBA will always be a standout. He got classic Hiphop records on there. Songs that fans will always know and hear type ? . Psa n encore r much more widely known than roc boys, blue magic n I know 4 a reason. They're just better overall songs.

Didn't you camel jockeys say the same ? about "Kingdom Come" when the general consensus labeled it "wack"? -

I remember that ? well. Lamest excuse in album history -
The Black Album.PSA >>>>>>

both are dope to me
Black album i was in my senior year in High school
AG was my senior yr in College
so they both hold a spot in my life for two different reasons.

The Black Album.I didn't like the addition of Ignorant ? to American Gangster. What was it 3 1/2 or 4 years old at that point?
-
American Gangster.AG was something that he did because he felt inspired. don't seem like that ? happens often. it was a good way to come back after that mediocre Kingdom Come. Jay was engaged and focused and you can tell.
-
American Gangster.if you owe me 10 dollars you ain't givin me 9
-
Black Album is jays second best album, should've left the game on that album. AG was good not great
-
American Gangster.American Gangster - Hello Brooklyn = near-perfection..
-
The Black Album.Son, if When The Money Goes was on there.
I would have picked that album over TBA. -
American Gangster. Can I get an encore?

American Gangster.I'm a bit older, so my perspective is a little different, but AG was the way complete albums used to be...like written stories, novels, etc., with an arc, tension, a climactic finish, epilogue. I'm talkin' literary/film basics 101. With that said, I believe TBA has more joints that I go back to individually...more bangers that I just need to hear at that moment. But when I travel, AG stays in rotation...I start with Idris Elba's intro, finish with Curtis Mayfield's Short Eyes sample, and don't stop in between (incl. Hello Brooklyn). I think it's Jay's most complete album when taken in context of the story, start to finish. But again, I'm coming at this from literary, movie perspective...

American Gangster.I thought I would bring this back, cause it was on my mind.

Don't forget that Reasonable Gangster where they use Reasonable Doubt Beats for AG.
