y'all act like his beats sounds like pots and pans banging together. I wish he would have locked down tears of joy.
-
I guess that's good for him.
Less money he had to recoup on the album . -
Cole beats are dope I don't know what tracks ya'll dont like but I like all I've heard from him. As for the topic, tears of joy would've been dope for Cole. Stay is nas's beat...

LOL at him getting stressed out cause the label wants hits, and why he gotta bow down to Rick Ross like that
I just cant ? with Cole man, he raps biggest goofball -
I'm happy he did. His versions of the songs were boring as ? .
-

That Stay beat will haunt that ngga til his death bed
"Still look 20, still get money' J Cole will hear that part when he 40 n washd up ...and he WILL cry.
-
? it i'll say it: Ross killed Tears of Joy. (in his own lil way).
Wouldnt want Cole on that either.
-
its easy once a song is done to say "oh he should have took that beat"
who knows how that ? come out if he used them -

Funny you say that because he said he can't listen to it, because he feels like it was his song. -
I just read an article about this on another site. From what took from it is he didnt turn them down. In fact he wanted to use both but sat on them too long. Then when he went to pay NO.I.D for them. He was told Nas & Ross already secured them with payment. He basically to the point if you want a particular beat you better pay for it quickly or it will be gone.

^ and still went gold
? amazing -
to the kids that were raised on Lil Jon beats, yeah, its boring to them. 808s and snares is like ? to them ADD heads. Proves that yet again that the quality boom bap record is a lost art form.

On my life I've never walked up on anybody listening to a J.Cole song, ? even when I go to someones house they would change the channel when "Who dat", or "cant get enuff" or the ? ever that song was called would come on MTV jams, not sure that ? exist outside the internet,lol...that ? NEO, that ? Johnny Mnemonic, that ? the villian from Virtuosity
I heard plenty of people bumpin tracks from FNL (especially In The Morning), Work Out and Can't Get Enough..
? , that "can I hit it in the morning?" line was on my Facebook newsfeed for like a year, lol.. -
This ? cole making us light skinned brothers look bad at the amount of Ls he is accumulating. At least he aint on young berg status tho...

Lex Luger is actually pretty versatile as a producer -
That Stay beat is intimidating lol.

Pure hyperbole to a bad example. J Cole has access to just blaze, kanye, jhalil beats, hit boy, no id,etc and continues to use his bland beats. It's not that people like lex, zaytovin, etc, its that just, Ye, no id,etc makes better versions of what Cole tries to make -
stay and tears of joy , both classics.
cole cant let those ill beats slide -
coles version of stay is probably unfinished session join ... im sure during the recording process he would have cleaned it up and made it doper but nas got his hands on it and killed it ... i aint mad at it at all

Smh @ light-skinned Jermaine...
