Dope Content and Introspective Subject Matter but a poor catalouge, poor beat selection, poor hook writting, boring Flow, lack of charisma. So no defiintley not he has the Lyrics/Message but the other aspects let him down and why he is not a complete all rounded good rapper. Easily the best member in Slaughterhouse by miles though.

It's nothing to do with the fact Joe Budden is Underground (not his choice to be) either because other rappers who spit Introspective/personal Lyrics like Budden that are also Underground such as Z-RO, Boosie, Scarface etc make good/great music because they have the all rounded package Budden lacks

Even the biggest Budden fans admitted his first album was wack. He's far from new he been around an entire decade yet but in that time has what 1 Gold selling album, 1 Hit with Pump It Up. Hasn't ever released a classic album released a lotta Mixtapes but it's about releasing succesful albums not Mixtapes
So for those reasons amongst others like the things he lacks no not for me i don't think most neutral non biased people would agree with his statement either. If that was the case he wouldn't be just a solo Mixtape rapper for so many years now and more people would support his music if they thought it was worth doing so
Nice content but just lacked in the song making ability imo like a lotta underground rappers tend to. Slaughterhouse also was a huge step backwards tho because he is by far the best rapper in that group. And look at how badly even their album flopped on a major -

Z-RO has dope content and personal content like Budden but he also has a great Flow to compliment what he saying in the Lyrics. Do not think that is the case for Joe Budden. Agree with what you saying about Nas beat selection but this a thread about Budden
