Reasonable Doubt is Jay's debut album which was released during the prime years of the mafioso Hip-Hop sub-genre (1995-1997), and featuring production by Ski, Preemo and Clark Kent.. Reasonable Doubt also featured verses by a young Foxy Brown, former affiliates Sauce Money and Jaz-O, the late great Biggie Smalls, and his weed carrier Memphis Bleek..
The Blueprint was released in the midst of his feud with Nas, and was released on 9/11, and still managed to sell over 420k albums within the week that it was released.. some will also credit Takeover for revitalizing the career of Nas..
So I ask.. which album do ya'll feel is better?..

The Blueprint.Close but imma go with BP
-
The Blueprint.Lyrically, RD is better. Overall vibes - The Blueprint is better.
That David Ruffin sample on "Never Change" is timeless. -

Reasonable Doubt.I like RD better. It was a rawer and purer album.
BP is more processed and pop friendly. That's not really my thing. -
Reasonable Doubt.Reasonable Doubt (aka his best album to date and only classic)...
-
The Blueprint.i cant decide but since it kept Nas' career afloat i picked Blueprint
-
I stopped tryin to decide years ago.
-
Reasonable Doubt.BP had more impact in hip hop and Jay's career, but RD will always be my personal favorite from Jay. That joint was flawless, even the weaker tracks were only weak by default. Put Cashmere Thoughts or Regrets on any other Jay album and it would stand out. BP had That ? Jigga. Eww.
-
Reasonable Doubt.Bring It On is my joint
-
Reasonable Doubt.Reasonable Doubt, but I'm a little biased against BP, because I feel it's kinda overrated. In fact, I would take The Black Album over The Blueprint anyday
-
Reasonable Doubt.RD for me
-
Reasonable Doubt.it aint even close
-
Reasonable Doubt.I put blueprint at number 2
-
Reasonable Doubt.RD. BP was dope but i enjoyed RD more.
-
RD might have the slght edge as far as overall music, but BP has 3 songs especially that make me lean toward it
Never Change
Song Cry
Momma Loves Me
Aside from Regrets, RD doesnt have the same personal/soulful/depth as BP, those 3 songs in particular.
Yes, RD had Can I Live, D'Evils, etc., but on BP it was more heart-felt, emotional... -
"You that kid Kanye? Yo Jay got classics to ya beats"
-Dame -
They both 3/5 albums so can't decide
-
Reasonable Doubt.American Gangster vs Reasonable doubt would of made a more intresting thread.
-
Reasonable Doubt.Interesting how? RD is a classic and AG is mediocre.
-
Reasonable Doubt.RD. They both classics though
-
Reasonable Doubt.good to see most of you hav sense... Black album vs blueprint wud b closer and more interesting than AG vs RD

Reasonable Doubt. The production on blueprint is goat, but jay spit some of the illest rhymes and flows ever heard on RD.
-
Errrm. I really, REALLY hate Jigga that ? . But other than that, BP is flawless. There isn't a song on RD that ruins it flow/vibe.
I still say BP -
Reasonable Doubt.RD was a hidden gem to most in the 90's but aged into a classic. Blueprint was the 1st jay lp that made a huge impact on the game. I voted 4 rd cuz I've loved that lp since I was 10 when my uncle n cousins were hustling n bumping that n a few other mafioso lp's from that era. But blueprint and black album made jay into the star he is today.
