Lupe's wordplay on the Fahrenheit series was far more advanced than anything Jay-Z ever did

@s2jepeka you're not wrong about the dopeness of what you just posted, however I think wordplay and lyricism are not one and the same. You're touching more on lyricism with that stuff b/c you feel it. Jay is an amazing lyricist partly because he poses philosophical questions that get the mind thinking and he's witty.

Wordplay is something different. That "Say Something" freestyle is riddled with masterful wordplay.

To wrap up my point, Lupe is dope af, but if we talkin lyrics ALL of it matters, not just bein witty and perplex, but also the impact, truthfulness, and intelligence behind the lyrics. Thats where Jay is not bein touched by Lupe.

THATS ALSO WHY EVERYBODY WENT HAM OVER LOADED LUX

Some true ? that opens your eyes on some 'oh ? i never thought of that'>>>>>>>'oh ? he spelled it backwards then rhymed it with the...'

    Example:
Hov got flow tho he's no big or pac
But im close, How im posed to win they got me fightin ghosts

Same sword they knight you, they gon goodnite you wit
Shhh, thats only half if they like you
Dont believe me, ask Michael, see martin, see malcolm,
See biggie, see pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas, see Caesar, see Brutus,
    See success is like suicide

Truth. No alphabet raps, no rubix cube raps, just truth.

See in those raps there, he had the opportunity, but was unable to pull of how Biggie did wit the 'like Mike' ? :

    I perform like Mike
Anyone Tyson, Jordan, Jackson, action, pack guns
Ridiculous and I'm, quick to bust, if my ends you touch
Kids or girl you touch, in this world I clutch

With those lyrics the poster quoted by Jay there was an opportunity for him to have that type of quote in his repertoire but he was incapable of delivering, sounds like he ran outta ideas, could have did better and had created a memorable moment in hip hop with those lines, but failed to do so, no one ever remembers that ? ...

"Submachine holes the size of shaq rings in between your eyes like nose". One of my favorite lines

Lupe was a lyrical prophet 5 years ago ... Definitely look up his tracks from 07-08

I like Lupe for only one thing: his wittiness with rhymes

It takes a great deal of talent to do what he does lyrically

'Dumb It Down' was sarcasm at its finest actually taking a dig at himself and his brand of music . .

'? Bad' is with a message in a non-chalant flow on a beat that sounds like a modern random 'Trap Beat' . .

That 6 month child that was murdered recently in Chicago, check out how he keeps her ALIVE with his lyricism in that song he dedicated to her, rather than being mournful . .
