Just over a week before the game's release.
Sony has announced a demo of Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls will be available to download on October 1 in North America and on October 2 in Europe.
The demo will allow you to try out two stages from the final game. The first, "Jodie and Aiden", follows a young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment and her abilities are put to the test. The second, called "Hunted", takes place a number of years later and tasks you with helping Jodie to escape government agents.
Beyond: Two Souls will be available exclusively on PlayStation 3 on October 8 in North America, October 9 in Australia and October 11 in Europe.

Get ready to meet Jodie. Also Willem Dafoe.
Sony has confirmed that Beyond: Two Souls will be released on October 8th in North America (with details on additional territories still to come). The news puts to rest months of speculation about the game’s eventual release and comes alongside news that Spider-Man actor Willem Dafoe will join the game's cast.
According to Sony, Dafoe will play Nathan Dawkins, "an enigmatic scientist working for a top-secret government division studying paranormal activity. His professional curiosity in Jodie, driven by personal tragedy, is a central theme in Beyond: Two Souls."
You can get your first looks at Dawkins in the new trailers below:
Beyond: Two Souls was first revealed at E3 and follows the story of Jodie (played by Ellen Page), a girl who is traveling the world with her ghost buddy Aiden. For more on Beyond, read our interview with Quantic Dream CEO David Cage from DICE.

Today we’re very pleased to unveil our packshot for BEYOND: Two Souls, due for release in October for PlayStation 3.
We worked together with the team at Quantic Dream to choose an image that we felt was both cinematic and in keeping with the emotional journey that the final game will take you on. We hope you like it.
Developing the pack front for a game like BEYOND is always an exciting challenge. BEYOND is so unique in the sense that it spans a character’s entire lifetime and takes place in such a vast array of locations and situations, that picking a singular image to represent the game effectively really does feel like digging for a needle in a haystack. What age do we want Jodie to be in the image? Do we include co-star Willem Dafoe? Do you show Jodie doing something dynamic or do we show her more at peace? These are all questions we had to ask ourselves throughout the process (among a great deal of other questions!).
Ultimately, we decided on the packshot you see above because it felt sophisticated, mature and different from most traditional game packaging, and it really captures the emotion Ellen Page conveyed in her performance as Jodie. The image of Jodie at peace in the eye of the storm really speaks to her constant battle with the incredible gift she’s been given.
Next week, on Saturday April 27th, BEYOND will be screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, followed by a panel featuring writer/director David Cage and actress Ellen Page. Stay tuned next week on PlayStation Blog for details of how you can watch this event via a live stream.

They are the only company who continues to support their consoles well into the next generation. The other two have stopped about 3 years ago. -

Yeah...
It was interesting. A lil like Heavy Rain in the control scheme and multiple outcomes...
Playing as "Aiden" the combat is something I have never encountered before; especially the fight outside the theater
I will probably cop it for the story -
Thanks, will DL this tonight

Yeah, I liked it. I agree the basic controls were (not surprisingly) similar to Heavy Rain's but a little more intuitive.

definitely felt like heavy rain. very interesting premise. graphics are unbelievable. Likely a must cop.
