Cruel Summer was everyone else's chance at GOOD music to try and make a splash. The album was lukewarm and got washed by GKMC(K Dot is Freiza b/c he sounds like an Alien and pretty much running the game now) and drowned out by other albums. Lil Wayne didn't do much with his lukewarm IANAHB2 but he didn't have to make noise because Drake carried YMCMB with Started From The Bottom.
Now with Cudi gone, GOOD music is kinda in shambles now and its up to one man to save the day. That man is Kanye West, now that he is back in New York, he seems he is ready to drop a new single as well as promote his new album. :slick:
In DragonBall Z, you had all of the Z warriors from the weed carriers(Krillin, Yamcha) to the above average fighters(Vegeta, Piccolo). They weren't expected to ? anything just like Cruel Summer wasn't expected to ? anything in rap. It was the z warrior's job to hold off for as long as possible until Goku showed up to come save the day.(Kanye drops solo album) The same scenario is happening now with GOOD music. After the lukewarm critical reception of Cruel Summer, GOOD music is waiting for Kanye to swoop in with his solo album to save the day and defeat K Dot.
Common is Piccolo because he is the angry sage type guy and he's been looking after gohan (big sean).
Big Sean is being groomed as the next big rapper like Gohan was groomed to take over after his dad(Kanye).
Pusha T is like vegeta because he holds it down for Ye and acts like his right hand man now. He keeps trying to beef with YMCMB, specifically Lil
Wayne.

wait this would be better if you told it with lil wayne as frieza. that way drake is vegeta who eventually betrays wayne and leaves him. wayne calls his daddy baby aka king cold up when he's beat. if kanye is still goku then consequence could be raditz since they were like brothers then started beefing. rihanna is bulma cause she gets around.

Let's just say we're in the Cell saga. K Dot would be considered Cell, a ? with different forms no one knows how to beat right now. The rest of Black Hippy are the androids (16, 17 and 18).
Lil Wayne is Frieza, a fighter that was once at a high level but is pretty much ain't ? now compared to everyone else, especially after him and his father King Cool (Birdman) got that work by Trunks. Speaking of Trunks...
That role goes to Pusha T, a mysterious kid from the future who was slightly more advanced than the the rest of the crew, but didn't have the impact of the main characters.
Com being Piccolo is spot on. Not necessarily in the crew per se, but still very powerful and important to it.
Big Sean is Gohan, a kid cats is frontin on, but has a hidden power that can be dangerous if tapped into. Shows signs of greatness from time to time (Detroit, some guest verses), and it seems like the fate of GOOD is in his hands, he just gotta reach SSJ2 with this HOF album.
Cyhi is Tien, a unique fighter you think would be greater than he is right now, he's just missing... something.
Q Tip is Master Roshi, a once great fighter turned teacher who's trained Goku well.
Cudi is Yamcha. Not as powerful as the rest of the crew cuz... well, he's human. But very, very powerful for someone with such physical limitations.
Mos Def is Vegeta. Once the prince of his domain, he had to watch while a young Goku (Ye) took over. He eventually had to humble himself and join the crew. He lost the tenacity he had back in the days, but still very powerful.
? is Krillin, not too strong physically but a very important part of the storyline, and is pretty much there for comedy relief.
Ye is Goku in the sense that he reached different levels of SSJ, and is still very powerful. But in this saga he seems to be out of his league against Cell. Remember, it wasn't Goku that defeated Cell, it was Gohan. In order for GOOD to win, Ye would have to trust in his younger cohorts, and give them more leeway in their projects. Cruel Summer sounded like a Ye album with less Ye and throwaway beats from WTT. If anything, he can learn from what he did with Cudi. Cudi didn't involve Ye too much in his projects, and has the best catalogue of all the newcomers.
