Dope song. I am glad he managed to get this song in the mainstream a bit. Seldom do songs of this caliber really get that kind of shine
-
Dope track, I like the second joint more though, with the original beat.
-
I remember ppl was like wtf he rappin bout skateboarding!? If he cant bang that on the board then how the fucc can i bang that in the whip!?
Years later Wayne changed that
and till this day i haven't gave the song a listen too since it dropped! Thats Y im talking bout a skateboard not the song -
I haven't seen this video since 06, I remember hearing Lupe once before and a friend of mine who used to skate and one of the few friends that I actually respect his ear for music was telling me about this dude, and I had read about him on here, so I was aware of him and the day I seen this video was the same day I copped, 06 was a great year for me and this video just brought me back, the album didn't hit me right away but eventually grew on me and got no problem calling it a classic
-
Great song. This was back when Lupe was the chosen one.
-
Kick, Push is dope. I immediately downloaded a Fahrenheit 1/15 Mixtape of his after hearing it...became a fan of a lot of his music. I think a lot of people were into that Yung Joc type ? @ my school back then and although it was fun in certain settings I was really happy to see somebody approaching the game from a more lyrical and storytelling angle.
-
? was wack.
just like Kick Push 2 -
-
When I found out he didnt skateboard, I hated him and this song...
-
doooope. i remember i had just moved at the end of 8th grade when this came out, and i started trying to skateboard because of this.
I loved FnL so much I actually didn't like 99% of The Cool when it first dropped lmao -
Really liked it when it came out it was all over the music channels over here.
-
dope song, this and part 2
-
One of the few gems in that dark era of Rap.
-
i liked it till recently a ? told me the song wasnt about skateboarding
and the fact that he doesnt even skateboard made it even worse
and that ? is just too full of himself, we kno you smart ?

06 considered the dark era? I felt that way about 07 -
Damn this ? takes me back ::sigh::
Crazy to see how much he's evolved in 7 years
Dude was a regular nerd ? now he's on some Black Panther Vegeta ?
-
GKMC is basically the F&L of these modern times. Kendrick's ? is getting just as much mainstream love as the "ratchet, turnup, molly" sh*t
-
Looooove this ? .
Lupe @ his finest.
Beautiful song -
damn near lost my mind when i first heard this
-
I couldn't hate on kick push but the part 2>>>>>>>>> it's that Damn hypnotic beat that got me
-
Great concept, which made a great song from a great album.
It's as good of a debut single as you can get. -
Was in high school at the time and thought it was a decent track. Learned all the words but not on purpose.
I remember around that time I was thinking to myself "who keeps pushing this soft ? nerd rap in hip hop". Now I respect Lupe's lane a lot more these days
-
Thought it was dope on first listen back then.

So the fact that the illustrator wasn't the subject in the story makes it unacceptable? At least it wasn't that redundant "i'm just painting pictures of ignorant hood ? ? " type approaches that so many rappers run with, even though they aren't out there like that.
