Jay-ZI put 44 Fours cause it was dope, and it's obviously inferior, because 22 Two's is amazing.
And Ghost clearly has Jay on the storytelling, but

Ghostface KillahGhost ain't even have the biggest impact out of his whole crew, yet he top 10. SMH
Ghost is clearly the most prominent out of the Wu from a solo artist standpoint. Get out of here with that.I put 44 Fours cause it was dope, and it's obviously inferior, because 22 Two's is amazing.

Aight, we can agree Jay has Ghost when it comes to raw lyricism and Ghost has Jay when it comes to storytelling.
Aight what about delivery. It's been posted here before, but give me an instance where Jay spit as hard as Ghost did on Tony Montana

Jay-ZJay doesn't go "hard" on tracks in that type of way, but here's something along those lines

....
Jay wouldn't have been able to hold his own on any of these tracks the way these ? was spittin. -

? did in 4 albums what Ghost done in 10. GZA is easily the most talented mc in the crew too. -
Ghostface KillahGhostface. No question. Off the strength of Iron Man and Supreme Clientele. There is no Jayz album that comes close to either of these. You herbs talking about sales don't even reply to my ? . Throw in verses like Impossible and gap widens even further.

That's another one of my favorite tracks from Jay, but I wouldn't say his delivery is anything comparable to what Ghost did. As a matter of fact, I've never really heard Jay body a track. He kinda uses the same type of delivery on every song, where Ghost can switch it up more. That's why I'd give delivery to Ghost, unless you got something that can demonstrate Jay's versatility.
Now what about putting emotion into the track. Everyone knows about this joint, does Jay have anything better in this area?

What are you talking about?
? has one near classic, two decent albums, and one piece of trash. I like him, but his catalog doesn't come anywhere near comparing to Ghost's. You could pice any four of Ghost's albums at random and it would be better than what ? has done. As for GZA, he's easily the most lyrical MC in the crew, but he is most definitely not a better all around mc than Ghost. -
Jay-ZLol at using the same type of delivery on track, if anything his flows and delivery is his strong point.
-

Well I've never really understood that. To me his strongest point is his lyricism. He makes spitting clever ? sound so easy. He's definitely one of if not the best in the game at that. His flow and delivery have never been that impressive to me. They get the job done, but like I said, I've never heard him just rip a track like Ghost did in Tony Montana. I've never thought his flow and delivery were all that varied, but hey if I'm wrong. Post tracks where he used flows that were vastly different and not just different due to the beat. Post tracks where he switched his flow two or three times in the same song just to keep it interesting. -
Ghostface KillahThis ? said Ghostface got the better wordplay, I'm out.
But.... I'll leave this here, first.

Have you even listened to Ghost's catalog? You're a known Warrior. -
Ghostface KillahIts a difference between the spitters and ? like Jay.
Jay rarely gets off into that zone like he did in roc boyz but he's capable of it.
Ghost got whole albums where he's just going In.
Ghost put in a lot of work, we can go track for track and Im sure when Jay runs out of ? we will still be posting ghost tracks.
All that diamond, versace ? he was doing in the late 90s dont even compare to what Ghost was doing lyrically in that same period of time.
Jay is a better entrepreneur and that is all. -
Jay-ZBodying a track doesn't mean you have to be ultra aggressive, that's clearly your own personal interpretation of it, cause Jay's bodied ? while rapping in a smooth manner, e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Issz4hAqmno
Here's something more aggressive

Ghostface KillahJayZ's lyrical flow/lyricism has regressed at an alarming rate of late IMO, its not even funny.. Just compare his lyricism on American Gangster to MCHG .. (His most recent song I find myself replaying is 'FuckWithMe ..' For obvious reasons) you can tell he fell off in that aspect (critics will bring up his sales, popularity and other ? to argue against this, LOL)
Ghost is still Ghost. He's entertaining, witty, smart, funny (I literally laugh at some of dude's rhymes) and he's a rap ? I've found most people no matter their musical tastes kinda dig . .. -

Yeah, we can agree to disagree, but that verse on the Ross song is the exact opposite of bodying a track. It's not that you have to be ultra-agressive, but there should be some passion to it enough so that your words carry some weight. Jay's flow was nice on that Ross track but his delivery was nothing special and nothing different than what he spits on 90% of his verses. That's not bodying a track. I think Blueprint 2 was a little better, but still nothing super impressive.
Again, Jay has a good flow, but to me it's kinda basic and not very versatile. He essentially uses the same laid back flow on every song. Ghost can give you something different in every song and even multiple flows in the same song. -

I wonder how this would have sounded if Jay replaced ? on this ? .
Its so out of the ordinary for Jay to be on some ? like this, yet, Ghost has spit that gettin money gangsta ? for years and did it with an original flavor and swag that none of these ? have.
Take away sales, money, all that other ? that really dont even matter and yes.... Ghost is better at and for this ? than Jay. We seen Jay before...we aint never had a Ghostface Killah before. -
Ghostface KillahIt hurts ? so much Shawn Corey is the GOAT.
Naw it really doesn't. It's just sad that you ultra herbs cannot fathom some one saying otherwise.
-
Ghostface KillahIt kills me how people always fault Rae for getting shown up by Ghost. But let's be real, put Jay on a track with Ghost and the same ? would happen. What would Jay have come with if he replaced Rae on either of these tracks?
