I see a thread full of all dope names listed and none of them seem to be good enough for you to wanna vibe with. Unless you vibe with Rah Digga, Bahamedia or somebody like that, I'm not sure. Rapsody and Jean the two best out in the last decade. Just seems like you ain't pleased with these other female rappers I guess. Shrug

I just want a relatable female rapper with some Charisma it's really not that much to ask for. Rah Digga Dope but she's old and so is Bahamada

Age shouldn't even matter with dope music though. But thats just me I guess. Shrug

Age does matter with being relatable. And it's not really about age but Era.... Somebody new....

I guess. I tend to relate to artists of all ages. Just depends on the music. Rapsody is basically new. The chick in Black Gerald's sig is new. All depends on what you trying to relate to I guess

Rhapsody is boring to me also... Sigs are off so I can't see who that is. 3D Natee is dope tho... -
from bout 11-17 all i listened to was rap and i said i would never listen to anything else
but now i listen to alotta genres from minimal, deep house, reggea, classic, rock etc.. alotta movie scores too -
I feel the same way. I don't listen to much hip hop at all. Just explore other genres and grow where you go.
-
Naw its just prolly that time of month for you
-
If "outgrowing" rap will stop you from posting your wack ? on here it's probably for the better.
-
I started to feel this around 07-08. What happened was that i went back & listened to older music/artists. There's artists i listen to from this generation but i don't keep up as much as i used to do. I think one key in hip-hop is to discover. So instead of looking and waiting for emcees that i could relate to to bubble i started diggin in the crates more instead on things i mightve slept on or missed out on. It helped, for me.
Yeah i listen to your Kendricks, Nipsey, Krit and many more but to me they aint new. Ive already been up on them for years so.. -
The real playa R&B came from 89 early to mid 90s!
It was about love back then now its more about sex! -
Co sign
I'm a 90's baby and a fan of the Doggstyles, All Eyez On Me, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubts etc..Not saying I won't rock out to some of the new ratchett ? , but it doesn't stick to me like the old music did. The new rappers don't really give a ? about the culture -
Think I've copped more r&b neo-soul this year than rap
-
It's not that you outgrow it, you just can't relate to a lot of the songs. You grow and the majority being offered dont, thats all that happened.
-
ITS IMPOSSIBLE..
WITH WHAT RAP IS PRODUCING TODAY, THERE IS NOOO WAY THAT YOU CAN CLAIM TO LOVE THE 90'S RAP AND TODAYS MUSIC
YEAH, U MIGHT LIKE A SONG/ARTIST HERE AND THERE, BUT WHAT IS PUT OUT TODAY IS STRAIGHT GARBAGE -

You sound like a typical bogus hip-hop fan. You named the most cliche typical albums..
Edit: Oh, just saw that you said you're a 90's baby. Figures. You one of them ? pseudo "real hip-hop fans" who wasnt even raised in the 90's..got it.
@Gen. Stasia
Do you feel the same way about your own rapping? -
Your probably going through a phase of maybe your trying to get into listening to a different type of genre.
There's a lot of people who still listen to rap and then can switch to listening to Rock then to RNB and back to rap no problem.
I think you should explore other genres. -
Rap is juvenile in it's nature, but Hip Hop is timeless.
