yep, thats what it was. the fact that they were actively hanging with people that were still committing crimes and had rosters full of artists that had crews that contained active individuals had nothing to do with it. irv gotti falling all over himself to associate himself and do business with preme who was actively moving weight and having murders being down in several cities wouldn't make the goverment look into them, also suge's whole history and active involvement with dudes who was putting in work didn't do it, j prince having close associates arrested in cars with kilo's of ? in them while driving cars registered to his company and telling the polcie that they worked for his label didn't do it. nope feds only came around when they started talking about distributing their own records independently. yep, the whole billion dollar industry would have collapsed if has been suge (and he was washed up at that time with no major artists) irv who only had ja rule (ashanti had already started to fall off) prince who only had scarface really (who while a legend was no longer a big seller) yep the secret powers that control billion dollar industries noticed that these dudes were making moves and told the gov quit worrying about the trillion dollar economy, wall street where billions change hands every day and wars on foreign soil but go ? down on these dudes who might put something together that will sell a million copies. they definitely did that and the fact that none of them went to jail except suge by his own actions, no need for a gov conspiracy there, is proof that the gov decided they must be stopped. because the irs and dea and the senate give a ? to stop these dudes who were all past their glory days were talking big in a magazine.
the feds also teamed up to stop master p and spread those rumors which ere not true at all, because we know that anyone who lets their mother's house get foreclosed, lets their studio get foreclosed and owes millions in taxes and hadn't had a hit in 10 years is obviously sitting on bill gates level dough

JP Morgan, Rockerfeller, and the rest of the american financial tycoons committed some of the biggest financial crimes in the history of the world to control the US finances. So what ever associations prince, irv, suge, and dame have on a street level pale in comparison to what economic atrocities these guys committed OWN THEIR OWN not by association. the government NEVER came down on any of those guys

You must have never heard of the term group economics. the value of the dollar increases 10 fold when your own community controls it. if you control the economics of your culture you control everything else. So while you think 1 million copies aint ? , the revenue from that bounces 10 times more when you circulate that money. A distribution company would have created jobs for BLACKS, that would have encouraged BLACKS to patronize other BLACK businesses which would have made even more money for the BLACK community. Blacks have amassed 1.1 TRILLION dollars of spending power WITHOUT the use of group economics so while you think we aren't a threat to BILLION dollar industries your either ? or cant count.

And what does not having hit record in 10 years have to do with distribution? All these guys have business savvy. They control the distribution of the music not the CONTENT. That would have been up to all of the indie labels, and the last time I checked there are indie artist who are doing way better than major artist, and those indie artist don't have one song on the Hot 100 chart(tech nina). Donald trump has filed for bankruptcy a ? load of times, but you still see he can get his good ole boys to invest in him. Its a double standard in amerikkka when it comes to black businessmen and white business men. when the system freezes credit for your race, cuts off your resources, and mis educate you, its harder to build something on your own (that's where pooling your money and resources come in)

Like I said you are naive as hell to not think that the gov doesn't keep tabs on black businessmen who aren't trying to depend on white money. it was just convenient for them to target those black guys because of their street ties. The Black Wall Street in Tulsa, and Rosewood here in florida are two prime examples of how whites and the powers that be respond when blacks take the power of money back into their own communities.
