The most famous Biggie Smalls, the Notorious B.IG. He didn’t own the naming rights to “Biggie Smalls” so his official rap moniker was ‘The Notorious B.I.G.’

I never understood how people claimed that Pac thought Cube 'swagger jacked' him on 'Bow Down', when he always said Cube was a big influence on him, and helped out when he came to Cali, as did Ice T...

More than likely The Notorious Buggie Smalls got his name from the Bill Cosby/Sidney Poiter movie Let's Do It Again where there is a gangster named "Biggie Smalls". He took the name Frank White from a movie (King of New York), so it's not a far stretch. -
Big was trapping out a motel down south wit an ole head and the movie came on and the old dude suggested he should use that name

at first im guessing he didnt know but after he saw all the attention it was getting who wouldnt keep doing it . It worked for 50 -
