The food stamp glitch that allowed shoppers in a couple of Louisiana Walmart stores to shop with no limits on their EBT food stamp cards, falls back on the shoppers today. The shoppers who took advantage of the food stamp glitch last month by spending way over their food stamp EBT card limit will now lose their food stamps, according to Fox News live on Friday, Nov. 8.
NOLA.com reports in an update on Nov. 7 that Governor Bobby Jindal’s administration will pursue Louisiana residents who purchased food costing far above the amount that they are allotted. Those who blatantly purchased extravagantly over their limit will lose their food stamps either for a year, two years or permanently. Just how long they will lose their food stamps depends on if they've had another offense with their food stamps.
People know how much they are allotted in food stamps. The folks that went through the cashier with up to 10 carriages of food, knew that they were not allowed that much buying power. The talk went back and forth on who would pay for this glitch, Walmart or the Food Stamp program, but the decision has been made. The responsibility will fall back on the people who actually did all the over spending.
The people who misused their cards are now being held liable for the money they spent. While they are not expected to pay it back, they may lose their benefits for a good chunk of time. The news that the state is making the people who took advantage of your tax dollars being held liable for their actions is a breath of fresh air. While the people who took advantage of the malfunction dined on lobster, steak and had all types of extravagant food on their tables, many folks who don't qualify for food stamps ate hamburger.
Many people who have a hard time with their grocery bills fall just under the qualifying income for food stamps. While they struggle to put food on the table the thought of people buying 10 carts of groceries on the taxpayer's dime, was enough to get folks angry. Many are saying hurray for Bobby Jindal today for going after the right source.
Approximately 12,000 questionable transactions went through on the food stamp EBT card during the glitch. A fraud and recovery unit will focus on the people who went far above the amount they were allowed. People could lose their food stamp benefits over this. First time violators lose their food stamps for a year. If it is their second offense, they lose their benefits for two years. The third violation usually results in loss of benefits for good.

How you go from they will loose their food stamps
Then say they will be held liable but won't have to pay it back
And lastly say they COULD lose their food stamp benefits
Food stamp recipients stay winning -
I read about it after it happened.
when people found out the system was back up. they damn near 50 buggies full of food in the aisle. ? was crazy.
side note: Russel Wilson has a touch of down sysdrome in him.
Back on topic: Wal mart knew they had a policy about a spending limit. they knowingly went over it. So they will not get any reimbursement. -
While walmart was like ? yeah!!

Walmart has a lot of expired n stale food on their shelves
-
You know you failed in life when you do your grocery shopping at walmart

While it's funny, they shouldn't stop their food stamps. Just figure out who over spent and by how much and make they pay a back pay. So, cut out like $50-$100 from their ? to pay it back.
They flip when it's their money but when it's yours... -

But seeing as how the people there taken from won't have any way to eat if they do they probably won't take them permantly......either way....damn u right they stay winning -

And what of the kids that have a deadbeat dad or mom? What about the fact that our biggest employers have wages where people need social benefits to survive on? People in such a rush to turn America into a 2nd/3rd world country amaze me. Lets get rid of unemployment benefits as well. You lose your job. Too bad. Lets get rid of college grants next. The leeches. -

I didn't realize white people didn't benefit from food stamps.
So are you racist or am I?
