Rick Ross. He's "kinda wack" in that he paints himself into a corner, and rarely raps about stuff out of character. Even his real talk bars are just vague stuff we can relate to, such as being broke, the food in the fridge is scarce, so we got on our grind, now "we eating steak, no more soup".
So, I go stretches where I just don't listen to him. Music is music, and doesn't require having lived a situation instead of the creativity and talent to depict it...but eh, his music can seem so impersonal and detached at times. It's like watching Django Unchained or Inglorious Basterds. You enjoy the ? , but it lacks that impact because it is a false retelling of history for the sake of entertainment. -
