50 Cent says he once appeared "arrogant," while Kendrick Lamar appears genuinely surprised by success.
50 Cent recently spoke about his Interscope label-mate Kendrick Lamar.
"I love Kendrick," 50 Cent said in an interview with xxlmag.com. "Obviously there is a huge difference in the two of us, in our characters, and the way we present ourselves 'cause to me he possesses the ability to appear like he didn't know this was going to happen. There's a level of confidence required for you to withstand the level of doubt, and I had so much doubt prior to it actually working for me, that I would appear at points a little arrogant. Like, 'I knew it was going to work, because it took you so long to figure it out. I told you it was hot.' And Kendrick will give you that energy that's like, 'This is great. This is really happening.' Every time I'm around him, that's what it feels like."
In September, 50 Cent spoke about Kendrick Lamar's show-stealing "Control" verse, saying that he would have changed his verse if he was Big Sean.
“I would have changed it,” 50 Cent said in an interview with New York radio station Hot 97. “It’s his record. It’s Big Sean’s record and nobody knows. Nobody’s talking about it. Everybody talking about Kendrick…All I think Flex is when the people that should really be upset should be Big Sean and Jay Electronica. 'Cause he’s saying what his intentions are and they done forgot your verses was on the joint. You know what I mean? Like he did it. He got it. That was the real hit.”
In March, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent linked up for "We Up," a collaborative selection. Its music video can be found below.

50 Cent should create a new G-Unit with Kendrick Lamar in it. "We Up" reminded me of most tracks 2pac and Biggie had together because when two genius come together, wonderful things happen.
