He regressed the bigger he got and the public caught on.
Dude was never a great rapper but also never pretended to be. -
death row numbers was real, based on soundscan. master p numbers was hypothetical claiming he was doing them out of moms and pop type of stores before they were on soundscan. when every store even the little ones went to soundscan the no limit era was over. anybody really believe silkk the shocker album sold more than hard knock life or dmx first album? you really believe mia x album sold twice as many copies as lil kim ? did? because to believe master p's numbers you have to believe those things. lil kim went platinum, 1 million copies, he claimed mia x went double platinum. hard knock life sold 5 mil, he claimed silkk did 6. soundscan had silkk at 1 million, but master p claimed he really did 6 and thats the type of stuff those 75 million records sold worth 600 million ? is based off of. think of the impact the albums i named had on the game and you believe that silkk and mia x topped that? you really believe silkk the ? shocker moved more. dude did his thing but his numbers are falsified on these boards and his interviews. when you go back and match his sound scan against death row's sound scan death row is blowing him out the water. it's the other numbers he's claimed in interviews with journalists that didn't challenge him thats got ? thinking some ? happened that didnt -
You sound like Master P ? your ?

P did do his thing, but he took advantage in a decade where hip hops popularity was new and enormous. Alot of ? rappers prospered. P just had a label backing him. Look how hard that ? fell though....

P dropped 22 album in 1998 alone. Snoop went double platinum, P went 4x platinum, Mia went gold, Silkk went double platinum, Cee went platinum, I got the hookup went platinum, Mystikal went platinum, Fiend went gold, Young Bleed went gold, Slim did 400k, and every other artist on that label (from compilations like Mean Green to respected lyricists like Mac) sold hundreds of thousands.
So yeah, that's more than X and Jay that year.

I've never heard Master P say that Charge It 2 Da Game sold 6 million copies. Post the source.

No LimitIn its six years, the label has sold over $120 million in records
