In 2003, 04, 05, 06 i couldn't go anywhere with out someone bumpin a Dipset song it didn't matter if it was someone in the hood or burbs. Keep in mind i'm not even from america and they made an impact in my city with their music
Diplomatic Immunity went platinum with out any compromised songs it was 100% street but different not street in a way that's too dark and boring they did it to where Dipset were looked at as representing that music in a very entertaining way
They had people wanting to be Bloods this is a negative but it wasn't by intention there was plenty rappers flagging red before them, but Dipset made it seem glamorous again not by intention they just did them
They had their own liquor, clothing and all that
They had everything u need in a group musically u had Max B the hook master, Camron the MC/lyrical dude, JIm Jones the deep dude, Heatmakerz the producers, Hell Rell the hard dude. U had females listening to a Gangster rap/street group can u name many groups who had female fans bumpin what was mainly Gangsta rap?

The biggest? Hell no. But it was a big movement. Even during their reign, gunit's movement was larger.
-
G Unit yeah agreed they had a big movement too
-
No was made bigger then what it was.
-
I'm not sure about that i know in New York they were huge but i'm from London and it was the same here i think in their prime they were that big in the hoods but crossed over to the suburbs too
-
I don't think their cross over game was strong enuff!

They couldn't ? into the mainstream but as whole but they did individualy Cam'ron(oh boy) juelz (whistle song) and Jim jones(Ballin). -

Here's the thing, I ? HATE The Diplomats.
But I can't hate and say them ? ain't have a big movement. Plus, they got into markets that usually ain't ? with NY ? heavy. They have/had some of the most loyal fans in the game. To this day, I know a couple ? that'll punch you in the face if you try to tell them Dipset wasn't the best ? on the planet. Lol. -

Atleast u can admit they had ish on smash even tho u not a fan, they really had a movement i can't deny. And they weren't scared to go at Jay Z either Cam and Jimmy went hard at Jay Z knowing he blackballed them but they still didn't give a damn
Movement was crazy just wished they flagged blue instead of red tho lol -
Is GunTown Shadyteam? *slaps head* Now I know why all the posts have been stupid as ? .
How many times has this ? come back? She's gotta be the IC equivalent of Kenny. -

Their ? just wasn't for me, son. And I might need to revisit it since my music tastes have changed a lot in the last decade. But I wasn't feeling them ? . They did their thing though. I just personally wasn't a fan.

a 4 year run does not equal the biggest movement in history...i'd say Run-DMC or Wu Tang had bigger movements and longer runs

Since when has Jim Jones been a deep/ introspective Rapper?

He has a lotta them type of songs more wen he solo that's why his music is dope best Dipset member in my opinion besides Max B wen he was affiliated with them. But on solo albums JImmy gets deep

That Perfect Day ish is classic never thought Jimmy would make a whole song just singing but he pulled it off. And it was a hit for him too -
Rozay act like he know what he talking about.
They had a good movement but it didn't stay big and it wasn't big in The South we way to hott to be concerned wit them kinda movements.
Theres a lot of kats that don't hate but not focused on the movement never was.
I hate when a few kats try to speak a bunch of ? as fact.
It was a good movement but talking like they was on some Lil Wayne ? .
They can still get bigger it just takes longer and the right collabs to get you respected in the south!
Now don't go get Paul Wall or Slim Thug on a track and think that gone get you respect from people like me.
