Beyonce has penned an essay called "Gender Equality is a Myth!" for The Shriver Report.
Beyonce has seen both praise and criticism for her proclaimed feminism, but her latest self-titled project generally saw more of the former. Bey has now taken her feminist views off record, with the decision to pen an essay for journalist Maria Shriver's publication, "The Shriver Report".
Yonce's article is titled "Gender Equality is a Myth!", and finds her addressing the overlooked gender issues in North American society.

We need to stop buying into the myth about gender equality. It isn’t a reality yet. Today, women make up half of the U.S. workforce, but the average working woman earns only 77 percent of what the average working man makes. But unless women and men both say this is unacceptable, things will not change. Men have to demand that their wives, daughters, mothers, and sisters earn more—commensurate with their qualifications and not their gender. Equality will be achieved when men and women are granted equal pay and equal respect.

props to her for using her platform to say something.
Yeah she does get an E for effort, but it'd probably more well received from a different female.
Beyonce has been well off her whole life.
Doesn't evoke the same response knowing she made 10mil compared to Jay-Z's 15mil. -

I'm sure she can read better than Fantasia, but one look at any of her interviews it's clear she isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch... -

how about there aint no myth of gender equality. Gender wage inequality is a well known issue.
if she was really about that life she would direct her fans to read the work of feminist scholars and economists who can give real insight and suggest solutions... -

Damn Dro, that was just mean

In fact being a singer / entertainer is work.
And people would more listen to a public figure ( like it or not ) than a fat ? smoking ? who works at Walmart -
Aye..I'm just saying what it is..
It'd probably be received better by the majority if it was coming from someone besides Beyonce.
*shrugs* -
but don't it take like 12 people to write every one of her songs???

her husband isn't the most articulated person either during interviews.

"Commensurate?"
Something tells me she might've had some "help" with her essay.
