Poverty's Paradise wasnt a bad choice it just wasn't the BEST choice. Either bone or 2pac should have won clearly.

LIG obviously, Undun was epic however and F&L 2 was also quite good.

You could nitpick nominees but that would take a lot of time. If you let ? in barbershops pick the nominees most of the albums nominated wouldn't have even been there let alone won.

Ain't it funny how X or Outkast didn't get a nomination back in '99? I love Pun & "Capital Punishment", but can't say i didn't feel suprised. Clearly it was off the strenght off "Still Not A Player" but almost all X's & Kast's singles (well, at least "Rosa Parks") charted higher than Pun's.

Remember that's why Jigga boycotted the Grammy's even tho he won? Realistically it was publicity for him to grab X's market more but also a Def Jam/Irv Gotti/Ruff Ryders-Rocafella thing too i'm sure.

I never cared for any awards tho. I only listen to myself when it's about music & what's good/not.
