I'm asking this question Seriously. Jay-Z has had a huge impact and an ever-growing brand in American Culture than transcends Continents. Not too many people can say they did that and still remain one of the most relevant today. His name/brand is in the likes of Hershey, Microsoft, Chevrolet, Gucci.

We should ask questions like these so we can better preserve our Royalty. Becuz noone is gonna do it for us, just look at the MLK memorial statue fiasco.

And I might not be the biggest Jay fan but I respect that man and I give him his proper credit, even if Reasonable Doubt is extremely overrated and Magna Carta Holy Grail will probably never get its proper appreciation due to haters and music critics who have no idea how to rate music and just get their "opinions" from Blogs instead of the actual experience or a personal general interest in Hip Hop without trying to play favorites or collect a bigger check.

His death would fit somewhere in between the deaths of pac/biggie and mj....for his importance to the culture it would probably be closer (no I'm not saying as important) to mj than to pac/biggie

if jay died it would be the biggest death hip hop has ever seen. the conspiracy would start with b sacrificing him to save blue ivy for some illuminati ? . then bleek wanting his money before he had another kid. then it be the nsa, cia, and fbi because he was chillin on the beach with obama. suge would probably say jay was behind big and pac deaths cuz he wanted their spots and there would probably be a cop that would write a book that tells of his involvement.

He'd be hailed as The Greatest Rapper of All Time ahead of Big and Pac and they'd quote his lyrics for ages to come as they did Big. The four biggest hits to the black community and pop culture as a whole will be the day Lil WaynePuff, Michael Jordan, Jay-Z, and Barack Obama pass away.

? ain't gonna realize how important puff is/has been to the culture till he dies

Jayz death would most likely be bigger than pac and big. Look how big he is now and how much he's done outside of hip hop. These white people love this guy.

Jay-Z death would be bigger in a sense that, as big as Big and Pac were, their deaths coincide together and go hand in hand, and their deaths, for all intents and purposes, are synonymous with violence and gangs, no disrespect.

Jay-Z, may not have had as big of an impact as those two greats musically in such a short period of time, BUT... he's done MORE outside of simply rap, hiphop culture, he's gone outside of his, or any rapper's comfort zone, and showed the world how he is, first and foremost a businessman, and an intellectual human being. It's hard to get out of that stereotypical image of a rapper, and he's done just that.

He's the first to truly bring that new century image of an artist you never seen before. He crossed all barriers while staying true to who he is, an MC. Man's a legend, and credit's due, most def. He brought class to the genre. He truly crossed over and mended fences on the genre. That's priceless. Talk about his music all you want whether it stacks up to other greats or not, but he's MORE than a musician.

All kinds of remixes, homages paid, his lines being sampled, all that. Not sure about the statue though lol, but you never know.
