You are kidnapped ("stolen" if you like), and then sold: the Africans received something in return for you. How could that not be being sold?

Doesn't have to belong to you. Sure it's not legal to sell something that doesn't belong to you in this country but your trying to apply American law to an international slave trade.

I wonder how the European nations will respond to Caribbean demands.....for all the extreme evil Europeans have done in the Caribbean and really the whole world, some reparations are fair. I still feel African tribes or nations that had a hand in slavery should pay something up as well.
