apparently the judge decided that prison would be too tough for him
Apparently affluenza applies to child-? adults as well. Or maybe it's these judges that have affluenza.
A Delaware man convicted of ? his three-year-old daughter only faced probation after a state Superior Court judge ruled he "will not fare well" in prison.
In her decision, Judge Jan Jurden suggested Robert H. Richards IV would benefit more from treatment. Richards, who was charged with fourth-degree ? in 2009, is an unemployed heir living off his trust fund. The light sentence has only became public as the result of a subsequent lawsuit filed by his ex-wife, which charges that he penetrated his daughter with his fingers while ? , and subsequently assaulted his son as well.
Richards is the great grandson of du Pont family patriarch Irenee du Pont, a chemical baron.
According to the lawsuit filed by Richards' ex-wife, he admitted to assaulting his infant son in addition to his daughter between 2005 and 2007. Richards was initially indicted on two counts of second-degree child ? , felonies that translate to a 10-year mandatory jail sentence per count. He was released on $60,000 bail while awaiting his charges.

What the...? A rich white man would do something like that....my mind is boggling for real. A poverty stricken man with nothing I could see that could be that derranged.
-
Prison is the exact place ? should be sent.
-
lawyers can really be the devil sometimes....
this another reason why people don't respect the system -
that judge shouldnt be on a bench
-
Boy to be white man smh.
-
Can get away with anything but let that be a black guy and see if he doesn't mysteriously get shot a couple clip fulls and we are told it's an accident smh.
-
We really need a Purge once a year
-
It would be nice if there was an online database where you could look up a judge by name and search all their rulings and sentencing on various cases.
I'm pretty sure this ? sent more than a few people to jail that wouldn't fare well there. And probably for crimes way less heinous than ? a 3 year-old. -
Im speachless...how does this happen??
-
This is sad man...but this is the mindset of those with judicial power in the society we live in. It is apparent that the wealthy are judged differently than those that aren't. And when ethnicity is factored in, the biased nature is even more obvious.

Bias on the Bench -
his kids did "not fare well" with him but, they don't have any money soooooo, it is what it is. i wonder if people still doubt white privilege exist?
-
If this was in my city i would use vacation days and protest this ruling.
-
'...would not fair all in prison.'? Word? Yeah, aight.
But let's be real, who is surprised by this type of ? anymore? Wealthy white people can literally get away with whatever they want, if they play their cards right. -
I really hope this becomes big. Put this bitxh head on a stick

Wow, this ? is sick.
But why does the article say "convicted" then says he is "awaiting charges" ?
Who's to say these aren't accusations just to build up the divorce case ?

The 'awaiting charges' is in reference to past tense ? . He was INITIALLY charged with XYZ and was released on bail while awaiting different charges. At this point, he got those charges and has been found guilty. Is the way I read it anyway. -
I literally typed mad ? in response to this and stopped and just deleted it all. Can't be surprised by these crakkkers. There will never be justice in stolen land

You might be right but that ? is vague at best.lawyers can really be the devil sometimes....

I don't really understand why people fault lawyers. They don't make the decisions, they're job is to put up the best case for their client.
