A 33-year-old Williamsburg County woman was arrested this week on charges that she threatened to "shoot down" a Mount Pleasant Burger King earlier this month because of a stale Cinnabon roll, the police said Thursday.

Andrea Ann McCullough of Sandridge Road in Kingstree faces a count of second-degree assault and battery in the May 13 episode at the restaurant in the Mount Pleasant Town Centre on U.S. Highway 17.

Inspector Chip Googe of the Mount Pleasant Police Department on Thursday confirmed her arrest.

A misdemeanor punishable by up to three years in prison, the charge includes violence or a threat of violence that could have resulted in serious injury.

McCullough posted $10,000 bail on Wednesday and was released later that day. It was her first arrest in South Carolina, according to State Law Enforcement Division.

Witnesses had told the police that a woman argued with Burger King employees because her cinnamon bun wasn't fresh around 7 p.m. that Tuesday.

The unhappy customer offered to shoot everyone inside, an incident report stated.

"I'm going to shoot down the place," the woman also said, according to the report.

Two other women who were with the customer pulled her outside when workers said they would call the police, the document stated.

Police officers said they spotted the women's Dodge Charger on Highway 17, but they couldn't catch up with it. Witnesses gave the authorities its license plate number, though, allowing investigators to follow up on the report.
