boxingscene.com/mayweather-maidana-ii-press-tour-begins-7-14-nyc--79773Mayweather-Maidana II Press Tour Begins 7/14 In NYC
By Jake Donovan
It took a while for the official announcement to come out that Floyd Mayweather has agreed to a rematch with Marcos Maidana, but further details have since been free-flowing.
The sport's leading pound-for-pound and box-office king returns to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, facing Maidana on September 13 in just the second rematch of his storied career.
Prior to hitting training camp, the ring rivals and their respective camps will embark on a five-city nationwide tour, beginning July 14 in New York City.
There will be no rest for the weary, as the tour immediately jets to Washington D.C. later that evening, following by a two-stop Tuesday in Chicago and San Antonio. The tour will conclude Thursday, July 17 in Los Angeles.
Upon completion of touring the nation, the fighters will head to camp for their Showtime Pay-Per-View-televised rematch. Mayweather escaped with a majority decision in their first fight this past May, arguably the closest fight of his career.
All press events during the five-city tour are open to the public. Grammy-nominated rapper Wale - a D.C. native - will perform live in his hometown on Monday evening, while young breakers The Monster Kids will show their moves when the fighters hit Chicago on Tuesday.

On the real I box and sparred with some good ass fighters
Pro and amateur
I've trained with them ? and seen their methods
And Anne is still the most extreme lol
A lot of ? wouldnt go to her camp
See the thing about her training methods is that if want will and passion and whatever than
She may be the place to go to but when it comes to boxing
Will is only one part of the equation
U need skills to back ? up
Kirkland is a beast but if u can avoid getting into a fire fight with this ? than u can out box him -
Jeff Lacy still fighting?
-
That All Access...Lol Yasiel Puig aint give 2 ? about these ? ....

? ? ann wolfe i aint having no female training me no matter how good her school is ? that ?
-
This last win got ? gassed huh?
Canelo will murder Cotto
Cotto can't stand that pressure
i have always said this an now others are saying it,
if cotto cant impose his will on you he is stuck and usually doesnt have a plan b....
perfect example was the margo fight...if he couldnt knock out margo he should have just outboxed him....yes yes iknow about the handwraps but that was more of a reason to just outbox him -
He was outboxing him the second fight ....although margo was coming on strong the last couple rounds ..
-
Lara gonna give canelo a boxing lesson I just hope he doesn't get into a
Firefight too much -
I'm going silent...I'll be back to gloat after the fight

boxingscene.com/canelo-lara-honor-glory-ppv-purses-mgm-card--79798Canelo-Lara Honor & Glory PPV Purses For MGM Card
By Anson Wainwright
According to Nevada State Athletic Commission the purses for Saturday’s Showtime Pay-per-view have been logged as follows.
Canelo Alvarez will receive $1.5million for his headlining bout against Erislandy Lara, though he can expect to earn substantially more based on the revenue generated by the PPV. While Lara will make a career high $1million, again he will get a cut of the PPV pie.
Abner Mares returns from his shocking first round knockout last August against Puerto Rican Jonathan Oquendo in a ten-round featherweight attraction. Mares purse is $400,000 while Oquendo will be paid $50,000.
Johan Perez and Mauricio Herrera meet at junior welterweight for Perez WBA “Interim” title, the champion makes $100,000, while Herrera makes $125,000.
In an interesting crossroads junior lightweight match up Juanma Lopez will make $125,000, while Mexico’s Francisco Vargas pockets $75,000.
Though the Tomoki Kameda vs. Pungluang Sor Singyu WBO bantamweight title fight isn’t part of the PPV, it will take place on Showtime Extreme. Kameda’s fee is $60,000, while the Thai challenger trousers $40,000. -
