But mainstream hiphop sucks for the most part. ?uestlove is right about hiphop, it's monopolized too much of black culture. it's not worth saving, too commercialized. I'm not into the music like I use to, it's a lot of ? . It's not worth saving, it's time for a new artform to come to the forefront.
Saying hip hop isn't worth saving is like saying the black race isn't worth saving just because some of us are ratchet af, sell dope and ? . Hip hop came from us it represents us as a whole from mainstream to underground to say one is better than the other is b.s to ? off one I'd have to ? off the other. Without mainstream hip hop people wouldn't know about rap or find out abt underground rap. I didn't know jack ? about underground rappers until I started hearing mainstream rap on the radio and digging around in the culture. Hip hop comes with good and bad just like the black race comes with good and bad but all in all it represents us as a whole we made hip hop it's our thing how could u not want to save it?

Killa, killa, more killin' killin' for killa killa
Feel the deal, the chinchillas, they can fit on gorillas
Santana, bananas, clip bananas, wrapped in bandannas
Hammers, hammers, no cameras, you'll be runnin to nana (nana nana)
Nana nana Santana, he be holding berettas
Killa killa kills civilians, you know I'm no better
Mo' betta' betta', cheddar cheddar, you'll be dead on your lever
For cheddar cheddar, heads we sever, go get it together
Get it together, now now get my pape's right
Come through late night
I know what it tastes like (what's that?)
Some good coke, dawg, go get your face pipe
Put on my Laker jersey, then I go ? white (number 8)
You got G ma, I got G too, ?
She wanna fly G-4, won't fly G-2 (nope)
Need ten thousand, you won't get a G, boo
Only G you gettin' is me, O.G., trueness -

Never heard this verse before but sounds like something juelz santana would say -
Childish Gambino's album was good. The way the kid acts (not on tv but appears to really act) hurts his career shots in the times where rappers still have to wear their mad faces all the time, but that album was cool.

Rappers are diversifying themselves in areas that are successful now and make them seem relevant in the corporate world. Ciroc, Nas with Hennessy, Dre with Beats, 50 Cent (Power-show), Dre 3000 (cartoons and movies), Rza (directing movies), all those clothing lines and colognes/perfumes, TI (housing properties he own in ATL), Jay-Z heading a major record company and owning a small stake in the Brooklyn Nets. The longevity of a rapper's career is more solid than the past, regardless of the rappers talent

This picture. Best moment of the year.

these were dope -
There's been a lot of good quality ? thats been put out this year
i dont get people that complain about the radio like, you know you dont have to listen to it right? i bet my car isnt the only one with auxiliar port.
i dont even know wtf is considered popular anymore, i know that wack as ? rappers get to have 15minutes of fame everyone once in a while (migos), and trash coming from either coast isnt anything new, but there's still a lot of dope ? out there. -
No outkast struggle beats and wacc ass concepts, songs etc in the '14
-
Run the Jewels 2
Nas' Mass Appeal Records -
We have rappers who been doing this 20 -25 years and not only are relevant but are extremely high demand and eating great... hell, too short been doing it since 82 and collaborarating with Wiz, Chris brown, even lady gaga .. On their singles!!!.. ? been doing it damn near since this ? been mainstream and still as popular as ever.. Remember when they considered hip hop a fad?????? Now this ? is so ingrained into the American culture, damn near everything has some kind of hip hop element... Yeah there is a downside to that as in we don't own the culture .. But rappers are in a position that they can if they wanted to..

if you grind and have some level of talent or marketability you can make a way no matter the circumstances w/out a label or major C/S's
