as good as it was.....
it's comedy central....? ain't tryna hear dude...they'll write it off as jokes and pretend it never happened -
Fox news will always declare "this is not about race" then switch the conversation towards race
what they mean is "its should never be about race when we dont want to admit something (like discrimination), but if its inner city crime..or Obama or Affirmative Action or rap music lyrics or govt. assistance then its all about race" -

You'd be surprised. A while back, there was a general poll taken, and more people said they believe Jon Stewart's take on things than the things presented by people who actually considered themselves part of the real news.
The dude that said people who talk about race are racists is an idiot, and you can tell he thought he had said something poignant too. -
i think jon stewart and cobert are the truth...
satire is often much more honest than the real news...but the curse is that people who already think they're right will dismiss it as comedy -
White people are all the same.....
Inb4 racist tape of stewart emerges -
imagine if all whyte people reasoned like stewart

White guy gets pulled over.
Hey officer just want to let you know I have a gun on me that I'm licensed to carry.
I often step out the car lift my shirt and let the officer see my weapon.
Lol white people are hilarious -
always good TV viewing with Jon Stewart

just stepping out of a whip would get a ? 2 hot ones....much less a ? flashing his piece
all irrelevant seeing as how the discussion was about an unarmed teenager -
Well damn.

Stewart was dead on. The thing that ? me up is the rush by African Americans to side with white folks over this and other blatantly racist ? . "Let's not rush to judgement", "Well, he did rob a store", "I grew up with folks like this back when I was growing up and they all have this hood mentality". SMH. It's this ? ass dude in the office that distances himself from everything black that thinks like this, yet feels he is the voice of Black America.
It's the whole "White is right" mentality that kills me about some ? . You can be Brooks Brother'd out with Tod's loafers on and driving a Benz and all you'll be in White America's eyes is a "fancy ? ". ? White people and their ? way of thinking. The only way ? will change is when that comfort zone they live in gets interrupted with some violence and fear -

The only thing I disagree with is the bold. Regardless of the circumstances, no one should make snap judgments before at least getting some of the details. That does more harm than good and often undermines the cause. -

oh my apologies... smh damn I thought you was trolling... -
White people just don't get it. This is what a dude said in basically the same topic on another forum I visit.I happen to understand a little bit of how black people interact with police. When it was cold out I liked to take night walks. My neighborhood was fairly safe, and I enjoyed the exercise, and used this time to sometimes go to the park and smoke since I hated the smell clinging to my house. I used to have that hairdo colloquially called the "jewfro", and would sometimes wear a hoodie because it was rather cold out.
I can't recall how many times I was stopped by police and searched. But eventually it got to where one of the officers just told me to "not look so thuggish", not in those exact words but a close facsimile. I got a different haircut, started to wear nicer clothes, and I understood why I was being stopped and searched for weed so many times.
If black people could just change how other people see them, then they wouldn't get stopped as much as they do, even violence towards them could be mitigated if it weren't for police and other people seeing them as "scary" or prone to criminal acts. In short, they need better PR for sure.
