^ Reasoning for those first two statements.
1. It's a fact that they get paid for ? on camera.
2. Some porn stars have made many attempts to transition from porn to acting. Very few have succeeded.
As far was what may have put them in the mindset to make such decisions, we are not mind readers, it's best to not assume.
Everything else(aside from any "mundane" reasons I did not mention} is just playing keyboard psychologist, everyone is different, you can't just assume, "oh they did this, because this happened to them when they were younger." Something may have happened, or nothing may have happened, generalizing is pointless in a lot of cases.
