But Black people aren't really sticking together. Based on that data Black men ain't really checking for Black women. Black women do seem to strongly stick with Black men, but is that out of loyalty or the fact that nobody else wants them. And of course, Black women will call Black men disloyal, but if no one wants them at all shouldn't they start looking at themselves just a little bit. It can't be a physical thing because pretty much everyone finds Black women to be beautiful, so there has to be some kind of stigma that keeps men away from them. We already know there is a stigma against Black men (e.g., we're all thugs, criminals, dumb, etc...).
People judge other races by what they see on tv. Black women portrayal on tv is basketball wives and love and hiphop and other reality shows. So all men of other races see is ratchet, loud,bad attitude, etc. Media only show black women on tv acting a fool. Any man not trying to deal with that
I don't know if that's true. At least not completely. I don't have the demographics for those shows in front of me, but I'm going to go on a limb and say men of any race don't make up a particularly large portion of the viewers for them. And even if you're right, you can't blame the media for those shows. They aren't scripted in a way to unfairly portray black women. That's how they portray themselves. There are white versions of all those shows, and though the women in those are petty and stupid too, they aren't throwing champagne bottles at each other.
its already proven that people get perception of other races from Media, not only in america but in other parts of the world.
I dont know if you travel but if you did you would of know this already.
Media on Black People is overly negative, look at commercials for us, how we are seen in the news, TV shows ect ect.

I never said that wasn't true. I was talking about the shows he named in particular moreso than media in general. I believe media plays a part, but I don't think that's the only thing that does it. It's like a one-two punch. People have preconceptions based on what they see in the media, and then run into people in real life that reinforce those stereotypes. The point I was trying to make is that Black women don't always like to admit that they have a lot of chicks out there misrepresenting them. The same can be said about Black men, but we have no problem admitting that there are plenty of ? out there making us look bad. -

I think you're leaving out a factor in your interpretation - when that site started it's user base was primarily in metropolitan areas where it's likely that there are more diverse groups and people with more progressive attitudes; as it spread in popularity it also attracted more users who live in or come from places with little to no diversity. Basically the stats are less skewed towards cities now and shifting more towards a representation of society as a whole.
But I am seeing reasons to believe that more diversity makes some people less willing to date out. For example, I think you'd find more white chicks who love brothers from, say, Minneapolis than Chicago.
Edit: You are right though that the demographics of the site may be changing and that that is what explains why our ratings have gone down. -

Funny you say this. If I'm not mistaken, the Midwestern (and some parts of the south) regions of the U.S. have the highest rate of interracial relationships, and, ironically, they're considered the most racist areas of the country.
