Agreed. I think it just disproportionately effects black people.

Add the idea that we don't realize like to criticize successful blacks (well we can't without being called a 'hater') and you have this situation we in currently.

I agree with his assessment! Unlike other cultures who understand strength is in politics and economics, we're too concerned with being flashy or trying to "floss" either among ourselves or those of other races how we have made it. Now every cultures has some caricature of itself, yet ours seem to be more prevalent then others. These and others reasons either its self hatered or deep generational psychological scars that still affect us to why these comments are met with no repercussions or extreme backlash. Guarantee if Steve Harvey or Stephen would have had that same attitude to a Jewish controversy, he would have been fired or apologizing before he could even blink.

Black people need to understand this establishment isn't going to take us seriously until we have the muscle to hit them where it hurts at the single notion of disrespect! In the pockets, or with political officials losing power. Once that happens, ? don't need to march standing hand In hand singing sucker ? like "we shall overcome"

Look at how he had to backpedal on Ray Rice.

The wealthy elites of the black community tend to distance themselves from the black community but have no problem trying to rally blacks for their causes and leave them with nothing. To top it off they often get the FBI and the government involve with black liberation movements because they know if we would to liberate ourselves they would not have the same influence and power. This is why they are not our heroes but in fact our enemies.

The platform they are supported under are those of the dominant society. And because they do distance themselves from the black community, they will not help build a platform for themselves or community.

Right, they know they can't save our people under this system and that's why Oprah had to go to Africa to set up a school for girls when she know its desperately needed in Chicago where she is from. But she is not authorized and how does Dr. Umar Johnson receives no support from the wealthy blacks and depends heavily from the low middle class and poor blacks? That speaks volumes of who supports who.

Powernomics talks about the power of capitalism and racism white supremacy and how the people who benefit from the power structure are 20 steps ahead of everyone else and how only blacks are the only race who do not have an economic base to compete with everyone else.

The part about making "leaders" is so true. They claim Corey Booker is the next "one" up. Long suspected this guy was a fraud, that's stands for nothing and will do anything to be in the know. Knew this guy was a fraud.

Y'all should read the Daily Beast piece on dude

Didn't see this. If true, just another bullet point that this guy is shallow as a puddle. People try to compare him to Obama, whatever you think of BHO -granted his presidency has plenty of things to criticize as with all administrations, Booker pales in comparison.

I read both the Daily Beast piece, seen the video(If true), and my own knowledge of him leads me to believe that the guy is fickle/shallow. He appears to be genuine man of the people upfront but there is deceit behind closed doors with some platitudes to cover it up (politics 101, no). He also just seems to be inept when it comes to actually putting actions forth to flourish his communities.

If you notice younger educated men with good wise council from elders tend to put action and more energy in movements.

    Boo.

? is simple to understand. Its no different than an sports athlete being told by anonymous people on the internet they need to leave those hood ? alone.

All this "good talk" on the internet and ? dont do ? different when they leave the keyboard.

Celebrities dont poly with ? cause they small minded.
