At the end of the day, most light skin black women have the same features as dark skin black women, so if black men have a preference for lighter skin, which was projected by the system of white supremacy you cannot just call it a preference. How the ? can you have pride in your race, but love what the genetics of another creates.. i.e. that light skin?

No, it really depends on whether black men, generally speaking, are indifferent to skin-color or not, and on this question they most certainly are not -- there is a decided preference for lighter-skinned women. Saying that it "depends" on the guy wrongly individualizes what is really a social phenomenon.
And the rest of your comment suggests that you don't take these preferences as seriously as you should. Also, when black men express, through their actions, a marked preference for lighter-skinned women, that also "tears" down darker-skinned black women -- even if these women do still get a fair amount of attention. -
