I want people to be in love. But I don't feel a lot of people are and I'm gonna be honest about it. And I think people's concept of love is based on shallow reasons with no depth.
Back in slavery, people used to give up their freedom for people they loved. It wasn't based on material reasons. So yeah, I'm gonna say that I think wanting to be with a woman just because she cooks, ? , and does other ? well is not a standard of love. -

But I ask questions, and if I get that the "love" is based off of shallow ? , I disregard it. And usually, I don't even say ? unless asked.

What I'm trying to figure out is why y'all are defensive if what I'm saying is completely invalid. Never said my history with figuring ? out was perfect or that I was better.
But there is no ? way that you can tell me that something as spiritual, intangible, and unconditional as love and what you feel for someone should be based off of how well a person can make potato salad. Intuitively, I think you know it doesn't. You might like the person for being able to do it and it's functional, but what does that ave to do with a bond you have with them as a person?
I think people are lowering the standards so we can meet it. But hey, what do I know telling straight people my views: it's your life. -
