Eminem is the most successful battle rapper of all time and the most successful rapper of all time too if we talkin bout sales. One of the things she shed tears about on the interview was the misappropriation of black culture, not only in terms of hip hop, but on the level of black history in general, and how this negatively affects the younger generations. We all know this is a real problem, that is only recently being addressed even close to what it needs to be.
This is something we have daily conversations about on here now yall, about eurocentric bias and total ignorance to pre-slavery black heritage. Name me another black artist who shows that kind of passion towards our people on this specific topic. Sure she's certainly unrefined in her approach, and she is a loud mouth hot head.
But I think if she were to be steered in the right direction with some money I think she could possibly one day be a positive force for our people, by giving back in those aspects that trouble her.
Think about it yall. Go beneath the surface of what she's saying. I'm not a fan of her music at all. But I respect the heart though. -
