January 18, 2015: MediaTakeOut.com just got wind of some EXTRA SUPER HOT exclusive tea . .. that helps SHED SOME LIGHT on the recent drama going on between Hot 97's TOP DJ Funkmaster Flex - and NYs TOP rapper Jay Z.
According to a ROCK SOLID SOURCE - Shawn "Jay Z" Carter along with a group of investors that includes NY Knicks star Carmelo Anthony are currently NEGOTIATING TO BUY Hot 97 radio station. Talks are still early, but we're told that both sides have HIRED LAWYERS and INVESTMENT BANKERS - and are serious in getting a deal done.
Wow - this is going to be BIG NEWS for the city of New York. We guess Funkmaster Flex doesn't like the idea of Jigga owning the station . . .
This is NOT rumor - it is FACT - and it's EXCLUSIVE to MediaTakeOut.com. Any media company that uses our information is REQUIRED to credit us.

Would This Be Considered "Ether" to Nas, Cam'ron, 50 Cent, Dipset, Prodigy and everybody he's ever beefed with?

Hov a living legend endorsed Mo courtesy of Pun maintains a new york to texas connection courtesy of solange. Now he buying flex spot shouldn't have bucked at Dame ? cause now he state propped up no reasonable doubt.

No. They should all come together and invest with him. -
Mediafakeout?
Clear Channel ain't gonna give away one of it's biggest markets like that. -
They're ? in a barrel. Especially 50 Cent.
I can't see all the New York crews getting together to buy Hot 97 even though its the most sensible solution to the problem with Hip Hop. Even Lord Jamar should invest but I don't see it happening.
If anybody can explain why Diddy, Master P, Dr Dre, Birdman and Jay Z didn't start a multimedia conglomerate 10 years ago then you're smart enough to solve the Davinci code. -
If this is true...
-
they can talk all day but it's not happening. HOT97 been in Jigga's ass since 1997 anyway, he might as well own it.
-
When has Mediatakeout ever lied to us
-
Fun fact:
Jay-Z, Diddy and I believe LA Reid, own The Source, King Magazine and XXL. They saved them from bankruptcy.
I don't believe he gon buy Hot 97 but time will tell.

Yo it's a lot of work pretending to be manager of a label like mass appeal. He has to pretend he's in meetings and looking for new talent. ? ain't easy -
If it's true, how's HE buying it when it's other people's money?
The heck? -
Oh if fools didn't smell the pure dog doo, it's onvioudly pure horse dung
Hot97 is own by Emmis communication. Jay-z or other investor simply not buying out Emmis -

According to the link they formed an investment group. It's basically the same way he bought the Nets basketball team. He'll put up 5% of the money along with a team of investors and be part owner.
An investment group can raise capital from hundreds/thousands of smaller investors who might invest $20k-$50k each. It's the investment group's job to raise the bulk of the money. Then guys like Jay Z add $10-$20 million. -

You know he never bought the Nets, right?
He had less than 1% stock in it.
That's not buying a company
That aside Emmis communications various radio station and is not selling one of their biggest in the #1 market.

I thought he had 5% of the Nets but I could be wrong.
