you still need both because like i said in that very post the aggressive and physically fit rule society not the intelligent and their in an inverse relationship between high intelligence and aggressiveness. and physical strength is not just about lifting heavy ? it's endurance and speed. What happens when that contraption breaks or a counter weapon is invented. In war and in life in general it always better to have both a balance of strength and brains.

if you breed out physical strength then you breed out aggression which means you will be food for more aggressive people pretty soon if you breed for greater strength but you lack intelligence then you risk ending up the slaves of weaker people. The best society would value a good balance between the two.

and on a individual level if you really want to make your children masters of the world you would genetically enhance them to have greater levels of good looks and charism because ? was not the most intelligent man and he took over half of europe. If you look at the history of conquerors they are not the strongest smartest of best men they just know how to get people to like them and are ruthless.
