With two new records in rotation — “Ambitionz of a Ridah” featuring DeJ Loaf and the Meek Mill-assisted “Soundtrack” — The Game shared more details about his upcoming album, The Documentary 2, while speaking to Revolt TV.

After initially planning to release it on January 18 — the 10th anniversary of The Documentary — the Compton rapper revealed his long-awaited sequel will now arrive on June 30, which also happens to be his son Harlem’s birthday.

Although his last few projects have failed to live up to his 2005 debut, The Game is looking to recreate that magic for this new album by reuniting with many of The Documentary‘s collaborators, including Kanye West, Just Blaze, Timbaland, Scott Storch and, of course, Dr. Dre.

However, The Game believes the sequel will be better than the original. “I listen to my first album and everyone thinks it’s so amazing, but I think I’m better than that,” he said. “The old me was wack. I’m dope now.”
