My fam were divided between man u and Liverpool growing up
I figured -
People need to stop trying to reason with people who say racsim doesn't exist. Stop talking to them, stop arguing with them, just ignore them all together. They'll never understand being followed in stores no matter how you are dressed. Black man can be in a suit and tie and get followed round belks. White man can be in T-shirt,old jeans and old Nike's and not get bothered at all.And I'm not upset with that white man who doesn't get bothered. I'm irritated with the stereotypes that all black man want to steal or harm something.
They'll never understand the police stops for BS. Or the boss that knows your a great fit for a job. But looks at his client base as not accepting you as a person in power so he gives the promotion to the next best white person no matter if they are capable or not.
They'll never get your young daughter being viewed as a ? cause she's wearing short shorts and tank top. Where if it was a young white girl shed be viewed as a innocent little girl.
They'll never get banks denying loans for bus.and houses because of a negative perception of blacks and money. They those who say racism doesn't exist believe as fact and just stone cold truth.
They'll never get how blacks who don't fit these stereotypes at all are marginalized and disrespected by them. Yet have to live daily with these notions.
The same people who lose their ? over Ms.Obama suggesting healthier foods be provided by state institutions such as schools to their children. Are the same people OK with stop and frisk infringing on peoples civil rights.
You can't argue with people like that, you can't reason with people like that. They don't know the hypocrisy in what they believe and support.
The same people vote for republicans that believe ? are the damnation of this country, pass laws to discriminate against them. And are surprised when the result is very negative against them. They believe that what they believe is in the majority of what everyone deals with and believes.
Because they only interact with people who believe what they believe. Not only that, they completely shun anyone who thinks otherwise.
It's times to not entertain the trolls at fox news. Not give platforms on "our" media to these people, so that we have a evil being to point at and hate.
Don't ignore the racism, but don't give them the power over our emotions. But giving them a platform on our media to deny it.
