Its alot of ? better lyrically than Pac and Ye but couldnt make an album or songs on the level of most of theirs. The reason they going down as goats is beacause their artistry they have more attributes and can do great things with an instrumental and rhymes. Im in the 5% that feels Biggie is overrated but Pun aint ? with biggie either.

lyrically it's a toss up with him and Biggie, he's obviously way better lyrically than Tupac but Big Pun never impacted the game like Biggie & Tupac did.
Big Pun at best is top 20 all time.
Big Pun vs Big L thats more of a better comparison for Big Pun. -

Pun bar for bar was more technical than biggie. He was the better lyricist. Doesn't make him the better rapper though.

Big Pun is one of the great lyricists. But he was not as complete as Biggie, and Biggie isn't even one of my favorites. They come out close to even lyrically, but Big has got him on breath control, flow, voice, and just about everything else. Same for 'Pac. -

Big pun didn't have the emotional content, versatility, or depth to be put over biggie or pac tho, imo
Hip hop heads love fast rappers but rhyming diddily with little italy and Sicily doesn't make you an all time great -
I mean no disrespect to the late lyricist nor the Puerto Rican community that holds him on such a high pedestal... but.... he is not in the same category as Jay,Nas, Pac, etc. He is a good lyricist but I just don't place him in that class. I think Big L is a better MC than Pun, to be honest.. Pusha T as well.

Pun was lyrical its just he didnt impact hip hop like Pac and Biggie. People love Pac for many reasons. You know how many Pac stans there is? Look at any youtube video with a Pac song. Say ? 2pac anywhere and see the look u get. He changed the game with the whole tattoo rah rah hard core gangsta ? . He also was a product of the black panthers so he made pro black music.
Biggie with Diddy changed east coast hip hop. Hip hop in NYC especially went from the Bootcamp Click baggy jeans, army fatigues clothes with tims to shiny suits and flossing.
