Wow I came in to the thread and was supposed to vote for Lloyd Banks. His mixtapes heavy on rotation. I've listen to him for a while and I rank him high.

    Guwop

Ain't nobody else really had close to the same impact as these ? . At some point these ? had tapes that were all you heard coming out of whips.

Respect to all the originators and others like Wayne and Gucci who consistently drop heavy loads of work, but I had to pick 50 not only were his freestyles were being bumped more than the original versions but like someone said before he made that ? into a career.

No love for The Mixtape Messiah?

Came in here to say the same thing. I guess you look at the years when they was hot they also had good mixtapes and albums. During the whole swishahouse movement they all had good mixtapes slim thug Paul wall Chamillionaire and Mike Jones

Cause they didn't any play around my way. And I'm from NJ . And before you say east coast bias, Wayne, Curren$y, Gucci and TI did get play, but you can add them. ? I forgot about Max B.

It is a little bias rather you want to admit it or not. Mixtape messiah said something about east coast not showing any love to the south/them in the Texas Area when it was booming. Hell east didn't start popping til they started coming down south

Lol @ 5k getting in his feelings...

    Damn...

You're not wrong but you're not right either, mixtape game is completely different cause of folks like 50, Dipset & Wayne...

Then Gucci changed it more, it's almost a requirement to have your mixtape be a free album...

That kinda makes Mood Muzik ahead of it's time in the album as mixtape department...

You really mad about that Ron G blendz tape from 91 not making the poll?...
