A teenager was reportedly forced to have sex with his own mother in one of the horrific cases of “corrective ? ” uncovered by campaigners in India.

Deepthi Tadanki, who is making a film on the subject, was told of the attack while doing research in the city of Bangalore.

“Family members forced a ? boy to have sex with his mother, in a bid to turn him 'straight',” she told the Times of India.

Her film, Satyavati, follows the fictional story of a girl who is ? by her uncle after her parents become suspicious of her relationship with her lesbian housemates.

The term “corrective ? ” was coined in South Africa to denote ? where victims are targeted because of their perceived sexual orientation or gender identity to “turn” them heterosexual.

Among the victims was Mvuleni Fana, who was walking home from football practice when she was gang ? by four men who told her they would make her “a real woman” before beating her and leaving her for dead.

Several others have been murdered in the same attacks, including two women ? , tortured, tied up and shot in the head in South Africa in 2007.

There are no formal statistics available on corrective ? , which campaigners believe is reported even less frequently than other forms of sexual assault in India because of the frequent involvement of family members.

A group called LGBT Collective in the southern state of Telangana have recorded 15 corrective rapes there in last five years.

"We are sure there are many more cases, but they go unreported,” Vyjayanti Mogli told the Times of India.

"We came across such cases not because they reported the ? , but because they sought help to flee their homes."

He said cousins are often chosen by families to carry out the assault, which may be followed by forced marriage.

Homosexuality is taboo in many parts of India and legal rights for LGBT people regressed in 2013, when the Supreme Court reinstated a Victorian law dating back to the British Empire criminalising ? sex.

Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code bans “carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal”.

The offence is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, although no convictions have been recorded in recent years.

    Fair.
The mother is partly to blame for him being ? cause of how she raised him or her genes(whichever side of that argument y'all are on) so it falls on her to "correct" her child.

are you saying this stuff doesnt happen ? heres a story that happened here in florida 5 or 6 years ago here (son wasnt ? btw), they ? a haitian mother and her son, made the son watch, forced them to have sex with each other at gun point and then poured bleach on them to "get there dna" off of them. all of the attackers were under 16

WEST PALM BEACH -- A month after a 35-year-old Dunbar Village woman and her 12-year-old son were attacked and ? at gunpoint by a pack of masked, armed teenagers, a grand jury has indicted the three juvenile suspects as adults.

Avion Lawson, 14, Nathan Walker, 16 and 15-year-old Jakaris Taylor are facing life in prison for a plethora of charges, including eight counts of sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, two counts of kidnapping and one count each of promoting sexual performance by a child, grand theft motor vehicle, burglary with assault or battery and impairing or impeding a telephone.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel is naming the boys because they have now been charged as adults.

In addition to ? and sodomizing the woman, according to police, the perpetrators forced the woman to perform oral sex on her son. Mother and son were also beaten during the three-hour attack and were doused with household chemicals-including in the 12-year-old's eyes-- in an apparent attempt to get rid of physical evidence. Taylor and Lawson were neighbors of the victims in Dunbar Village.

Dunbar Village is a 17-acre public-housing complex in the 1700 block of Division Avenue, just north of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard. About 90 percent of the 300 residents are single women.

Taylor's defense attorney recently described his client as a "polite young man" who continues to maintain his innocence.

Taylor was in juvenile court Friday for a brief, routine detention hearing. Judge Peter Blanc ordered he be placed in secure detention pending the filing of formal charges.

He was the third teen to be charged in the June 18 attack. Blanc denied a request from defense attorney Chris Haddad for the boy to be placed under house arrest.

"We know there are a number of kids involved. It's very difficult to sort out who did what and we are very concerned that he not be painted with a broad brush," Haddad said after the hearing, explaining why he asked that the teen be released. "Ordinarily, someone who is a juvenile with no lengthy history would get that consideration."

According to police reports, Taylor's fingerprint was found in the home of the victim, despite his initial denial that he was ever in the home. Investigators allege he, Lawson and Walker and as many as seven others participated in the gang ? at gunpoint at the woman's home in Dunbar Village, a dilapidated West Palm Beach public housing complex.
