Steven Spielberg/DreamWorks Studios Acquires Life Rights To MLK's Life Story
http://www.dreamworksstudios.com/news/dreamworks-studios-acquires-life-rights-to-martin-luther-king-jr-story

One of my many questions is how can a human being "own the rights" of another human being's words? I mean I understand owning a piece of paper with words on it, but their intangible words though?!
Another issue is that the "owners" of these words didn't experience any of them.
ANYTIME we hear an MLK speech, DreamWorks gets chipped off.
Somethin aint right. Speak on it...

just another disadvantage of being the foremost capitalist nation. everything is for sale, even intangibles. -
This ? right here is ridiculous, how the family do not have control of this ?

Over the last several years, they've been too busy fighting each other to work together to protect their father's legacy. -

Blame MLK lll ... if I remember correctly, he wanted to sell out and the other kids didn't ... should've keep that in the family -

Now they'll make their own movie with authentic speeches.
Weak ? .

For the love of money. Man, smh.
His family should own all those rights, but his family sold him out. -
so what y'all gonna do about it?
-
Sad. I bet it stays in Steven Spielberg's family for the next hundred years.
-
His kids were at war over selling this recently if I'm not mistaken, his one daughter wanted to keep it, his other kids wanted to sell it
-
Capitalism ruined what was left of humanity after Eve ate the Apple lol
-
This is some ? . What's worse is that the King family didn't take the steps to secure Martin's legacy. A sad day. Now ya'll see why ownership is important.
-
This can't be life?!?
Should've stayed in the fam. -
