Three-quarters of the turn-of-the-millennium New Orleans supergroup the Hot Boys, plus legendary Cash Money Records producer Mannie Fresh, will reunite onstage for the first time in more than 10 years this summer. The occasion is Lil Wayne's inaugural Lil Weezyana Fest, scheduled for Aug. 28 at Champions Square. He made the announcement at the culmination of a long, in-depth interview on air with Q93.3FM's DJ Wild Wayne on Tuesday afternoon (July 7).
"I'm coming home to give my city a real show for all its support," he said, and I'm bringing some of my good friends in the industry." Rumors about a Hot Boys concert reunion had buzzed consistently in recent years. Now, according to Wayne, he, Juvenile and Turk, plus Mannie Fresh – fourth member B.G. was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 2012 – will bring back hits like "I Need A Hot Girl" and "We on Fire."
More artists will be added to the lineup, Wild Wayne said during Tuesday's interview. Lil Wayne hopes, he said, to make the hometown festival an annual event. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated "back to the city," he said.
Ticket presales start Wednesday (July 8) at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Visit Q93.com for details.
"Please come out, enjoy yourself, lose your mind," Lil Wayne said. "I will find it for you later, and return it back."

Man I'm there like a ? . I'm like 10 mins from there. Drive, park and walk.
Just to add a little bit. Wild Wayne who was mentioned in the article works for the Q93 station. As far as radio goes here, he is instrumental for a lot of rappers here. He also hosted this local hip hop show called Phat Phat N All That.

This is good for Wayne.
I feel like he ain't been in N'awlins like that since like 02-03. Maybe this will inspire him to make some better, more organic music.
