His 20 year reign is impressive

He's not necessarily my favorite rapper and I haven't copped all of his albums but I gotta give him props. He's right outside of my top 10

    Top 10 in no order;

    Melle Mel
    Rakim
    LL Cool J
    Biggie
    Tupac
    Nas
    Jay Z
    Ice Cube
    Lauryn Hill
    Eminem

Now that I think about it I could replace Eminem with Ghostface, but my rationale is that Eminem is the highest selling rapper and had a bigger impact on society than Ghost.

    Honorable mentions;

    Black Thought
    Ghostface
    KRS One
    Spoonie G
    Grandmaster Caz
    Kool Moe Dee
    Slick Rick
    Big Daddy Kane
    Kool G Rap
    Chuck D

He has to be in the top 10 but today's rap fan is just different. They're oblivious to the Wu-Tang Clan SMMFH. I seen these girls wearing Wu-Tang tees the other day in a shoe store and asked them if they could name all the members or at least 1 album and none of them could SMMFH.

You can't name another rapper that has been doing it as long as Ghostface has with his discography of AMAZING albums. He arguably has the most classics or in some way was a major part of other classics (including OB4CL, Wu-Tang, ODB albums, etc.) he's the most critically acclaimed rapper of all time and he's STILL dropping music. This generation would put Drake or Kendrick before they put Ghost SMMFH.

Ghost is the best member of Wu obviously. Raekwon the most overrated. Method will always be "what could've been"

    he's not in my top 5, 10, 20,30,40,50....maybe top 100

    I'm not a fan

Bruh there aren't 20 rappers that can top ghost as a whole these last joints haven't had the same impact as previous joints but ghost is that dude.

Some of ya'll list are just crazy some people have no solo rap success some are more r&b than rap, then it's those 80's dudes lol

There are so many dope rappers i could never come up with a top 5.

I usually put rappers in tiers. And Ghost is in the highest tier a rapper can be in.

Ghostface, MF Doom, Black Thought and Masta Ace are all in that subgroup of cats who rip ? but never get respect.

Sean Price is on that list too (RIP)

    Killer Mike is another

Snoop, Em and Busta are questionable but solid list. Busta is easily 15-20. ? underrate dude.

Nah b, Ghost aint on that list, I know maddd ? with Ghost in their top 5. Even white boy in the clip where Action Bronson said that slick ? bout Ghost, said Ghost was his favorite rapper, Charlamagne said mad times Ghost is the Goat, he's definitely not on that list.

That's not my personal list. That list is my best assessment of their rankings based on their skills, impact on the game, lyricism, and yes, even sales...and it's just a guess of where they would universally be ranked.

MY personal list is very different:
    1. Nas
    2. (tie) B.I.G. & Pac
    3. Joe Budden
    4. Canibus
    5. Lupe
    6. Common
    7. Ghostface
    8. Em
    9. Kanye
    10. Busta
    11. Jadakiss
    12. Rakim
    13. Game
    14. Jay-Z

No particular order but this is who gets burn on a regular basis.

    (My Top Tier)
    Ghost
    E-40
    Nas

    (The rest of my faves)
    Kool G. Rap
    Twista
    C-Bo
    Cube
    Brotha Lynch
    Yukmouth
    WC

    I have no coastal bias.
I don't feel obligated to include old school rappers who don't even rap anymore.
I still get excited about new music from these artists just like I did when they first came on the scene.
