Not sure how I feel about this, what made this program so dope was not only Will and Carlton, but the era and the fashion... How can they make this program so cool if they bring it back???

'Will Smith is set to take that fragrant cab home to Bel-Air once again, according to reports.

The star, who made his name in the US sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ is said to be working on a reboot of the series.

US TV website TVLine.com says that Smith’s production company Overbrook is in the ‘early stages of development’ on a new series.

But what with Smith being a good couple of decades older now, he’ll be acting as the show’s executive – along with his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith – on the new project, rather than appearing on screen.

Though not currently involved in the project, NBC, the network which first broadcast the show has said it would be 'happy to talk to Will’ about it.

Smith, who was 22 at the time, starred as a fictionalised version of himself in the series, originally produced by music legend Quincy Jones, from 1990 to 1996.

Created by writer Andy Borowitz, it ran over six seasons and 148 episode.

Smith starred alongside James Avery as Philip Banks, his wealthy uncle, who he’s sent to live with in the upscale LA suburb of Bel-Air.

The show also starred Karyn Parsons as his airhead cousin Hilary and Alfonso Ribeiro as Carlton, his other cousin with a penchant for expressive dancing.

At its peak it was watched by nearly 15 million people in the US, and was syndicated around the world.
The show went on to spawn a career in both music and movies for Smith.'
