Trick is on that list of ? that got left behind in his era. (Late 90s-Mid 2000s). Kind of like how Warren G got left behind in the early 90s or Big Daddy Kane in the late 80s.
Plus his medical condition don't help none. -
I forget about him at times too, but I def consider him a Southern legend. T Double used to put out them hits, and still have a cd full of social commentary.
The Children's Song is one of my favorite songs of all time. -
He's the fat Joe of the south.
The singles be dope, but nobody trying to hear a whole album of Trick Daddy. -
He did sell alot of records on the low... i think all his early ? went gold or better
-
I remember gettin high and steppin into Tower Records. I saw this for the first time and started crackin the ? up in front of everyone for a good 2 minutes straight.
-
fat joe aint sell, trick did, ion think his album classics or come close to tips but he gets overlooked at times, he used to come thru wit the hits, should be considered a legend but as said b4 the sickness slowed his career plus the arguments with other florida rappers aint help and neither does eat a ? gang
-
Only on a message board where his music doesn't get the proper due. Real ? know what's up tho.
-
? ass thats why

-
Ppl also forget, arguably da realist ? in da south, (Jeezy) came in da game and mimicked trick daddy's whole style down to his voice.
-
Chpt AK vs 47 is a classic imo. I think I own 5 of his albums, first 3 are dope. Music watered down a bit late in his career and the health issue.
-
People throwing around the word legend alot. Dope songs, ok, but not on the level where I'd call him a legend.
-
I don't consider trick a legend by no means but I ? him musically.
-
Eat a ? gang
-
I ? with AK47 tough when it came out. If it ain't a classic by general consensus, it definitely is a personal one.

There's a difference between local/regional legend and actually hip hop/musical legend....learn the difference bru -

He a Florida legend
And that's all that matters -
The Eat ? Gang ? deaded his image and tarnished his legacy to non Southerners, but Im guessing in the South hes still gonna get his props no matter what, but Imm let the Southern posters confirm that..
